does anyone use any of these for anything? If so, how and when? do you make your own dolls or do you buy them?

For a long time I bought them, but I've felt the creative urge to make them... I made a bunch of love-themed wanga dolls for this past Valentine's Day, and I've a shoebox of poppets I made for various spells to decorate my altars for special occasions...

you have to be very displined in useing these, if you have one in a healing spell you must keep all your thoughts pure or the subject of the spell may feel it.
i'll post something about negative spells and magick another time if you like

Trust me, I'm very careful about all my tools, including incense burners, candles, and poppets... I often get very obsessive about what I use during which times and for what forms of magik.

Feel free to post anything at all, you don't need my permission for something :) I really want everyone to feel free to post whatever they feel important to share!

I've made a couple dolls out of clay, which look rather cool... I made a hole in them, so they can be hung on things.... They're very kitchy that way! I've made about a dozen and painted them different colours... I actually handed these out at Lammas, because they were so brightly coloured and it was appropriate, I think, for the holiday.

:) Thanks :) I've also just did some basic sewn together dolls - get a piece of thick fabric, and fold it in half. A good stencil for a doll is a gingerbread man cookie cutter, but you can improvise, cut it out and sew the two halves together, stuffing it with cotton or laundry lint (a good way to recycle this, since it's being thrown in the garbage anyway!) and decorate your doll appropriately, with beads or googly eyes or a hula skirt or whatever you want!
