The last couple days have been kinda yucky and wet but this afternoon turned out pretty nice and it's so warm out so I was up on the deck kicking the soccer ball off for Bandit to chase.

He is insanly fanatical about the ball. His haunches quiver and he gets all frothy and massively intent on the ball.

The Ball.
Gotta get the ball!

...so I'm winding up for a good kick my leg goes up in the air and my shoe...that bastid shoe loses all traction on the foot remaining on the ground. Feckiin trator.

I had a nice moment to watch the trees shift 90 degrees and then I hit the deck.

Wood can be hard. I realised this as I laid there looking at the thin line of jet vapor moving across my tree framed patch of sky.

Wish I had a video camera, I bet that looked funnier than hell.

You only land as hard as you think you land right?

did you see birdies flying around your head?

HoneySuckleBlue

No, but I heard God and all his friends laughing, spose it coulda been the neighbors...

*falls off chair laughing!*

ouch!!! you only land as hard as it feels. I have actually practiced and been taught the art of falling. I have yet to master it, but I'm well on my way. martial art, y'know?

actually, you prolly won't know for sure how hard you fell until the next day and esp the day after that.

for god's sake! be careful out there!

Having a brother and a husband who like to wressle I've learned the common sense way to fall, but this happened so fast I did'nt have time to move my elbow so it kinda got jammed up under me like a chicken wing...and the back of my head is a bit sore as well as my middle back...I've been doing the little yoga I know on it to give it what hurts what it needs, but yeah. It kinda hurts now, I think tomorow may not be pleasant.

'sounds like you need a good massage. or at least a hot bath in epsom salts. :)

HoneySuckleBlue

Both thoughts crossed my mind, the hot bath is the only thing I have a chance of making happen though.

I slept okay but my left side from my middle back all the way up to just over my left ear is this network of stiffness and crinkles.

There is only one tiny little bruise on my arm though where I actually made contact with the wood. I think most of it was just the jarring action of being chicken winged...and my head bouncing, lol, those two things hit first.

It was funny when it happened but now I realise that the energy I had been slowly using to fight off the colds everyone had on the NY trip had to be diverted and now I've lost ground and my throat feels like i swallowed a bottle brush.

Dammit. Time to break out the herbs and root extracts.

Owww. It's not the falling, it's the sudden stop. At least short people don't have as far to fall.
Want a Massage ? :)

just f.y.i. : I've been having good results with using colloidal silver at the first sign of a cold. (do not use for more than ten days straight) and I use oil of oregano pretty much everyday, also grapefruit seed extract, and of course there's always oregon grape root (works basically like goldenseal but is not overharvested like goldenseal is), echinacea, and for less general symptoms the list grows quite long.....

I hope you fell well soon. :)

I took all the other stuff this morning...man i'm whupped and sore.

....Look ma, I'm kickin' my own ass!!

awesome...body aches are such a bummer. i know...between my shoulder and back i am in constant pain.
hopefully this will be short lived. i was at a friends house last weekend and my buddy tim had fallen and hit his lower back. and 2 weeks later docs still couldnt help him with what the reasoning is...and poor guy was in grimacing pain...it was so obvious just watching him attempt to walk around.

That would suck to be in constant pain. Every once in a while because of hormones I guess my hip blows out, lol, and everything is just this blinding white...it's kinda hard to live like that be able to think and function and that's only for a few moments, man.

I was watching this documentary on people who live with chronic pain a while ago and was just so sad, it can be so debilitating, and then most of them can't get the medication that could help them or find any kind of alternative way to heal them. How frustrating an existence that must be...

well i put myself in constant mental agony....does that count:)

by the way, how are you feeling today?

HoneySuckleBlue
12-14-2004, 08:25 PM
I am feeling very self effacing, and like mebbe i should retreat until I can don a sunnier disposition, lest i infect the masses.

...and the shoulder was fine until I moved the dresser I am gonna use as a buffet for the family christmas party today. Now it hurts when I breath. wtf? (the cold is gone too, I sent that one packing)

I made 100 cookies in hope that it would lift my funky spirits...I think they are just being difficult now.

Well I guess since you are the only one on the list you are in, you want some coffee? WE can sit around and make fun of ourselves and then go out and practise throwing ourselves down the steps, it'll be great.

here in Florida we use a refridgerator box down the side of the expressway embankment.

it's short, but sweet! :D

HoneySuckleBlue
12-15-2004, 02:31 AM
That sounds like fun!!

When I lived in Florida we just jumped into the canals and tried our luck with the gators..there was always a carcass or two washed up in the reeds...what a rush!

Scholar_Warrior
12-15-2004, 02:33 AM
carcasses are fun to poke a stick at.

HoneySuckleBlue
12-15-2004, 02:37 AM

we used to do the stair thing and open the front door so we would go out...keep in mind this is me and some roommates when we were in our 20's not when we were kids.

That is classic good times...I went to pick Jess up from a sleepover this weekend and i could hear the girls squealling and laughing from the outside and when I got in they were taking a single bed mattress down the stairs.:)

Good times.
