you could be gay, you could be bisexual, you could be straight with natural gay/bi fantasies or tendencies. don't worry about fitting society's mold. just be you.

Snowdude, you're still young. Go with what feels best and sooner or later you'll figure it out and it'll feel so natural you'll wonder why you ever questoned it at all. I think everyone with a brain questions their sexuality when they're 16ish or so. Some turn out gay, others turn out bi, either way we're intellectually superior to the breeders!

The only way you can find out for sure is to explore your sexuality and find out for yourself what you're most comfortable with; what works and what doesn't work. I would hold off on labeling yourself either way until you're certain who turns you on the most. Don't worry; you're a young man; you've got plenty of time to explore.
Believe me, I've been there, too, so I know exactly where you're coming from. When I was 16 (in 1969), I had the hots for both hippie dudes and hippie chicks (Long hair was -- and still is -- my biggest turn-on. More on that later). I had an incredible crush on a celebrity: Psychedelic blues queen Janis Joplin. When she died in 1970, I was utterly devastated -- so much so that my attraction to women fell dormant and I remained exclusively gay for 23 years.
It was also the era of the feminist movement -- and I have to admit, I was a male-chauvinist pig back then. Being gay, I often joked, was the ultimate expression of male chauvinism. A very nasty, poisonous sibling rivalry with my sister didn't help matters. By the time I finally came out of the closet in 1978, my social circle was all-male. I really wasn't prepared to relate to women -- until I fell head-over-heels in love -- albeit in vain -- with a female housemate of mine in the early '90s. After that experience, I knew I couldn't honestly call myself gay anymore; I've been openly bi for nearly 12 years.
Whatever you do, don't rush it; take your time. Eventually, you'll find out what gives you the most joy and pleasure. Once you find it, stick with it through thick and thin.

Now, as for my "fetish" about long hair: It's always been the single most powerful visual aphrodesiac for me -- partly because I'm half-Native American and long hair is part of my heritage. I'm a member of several Yahoo! communities of long-haired gay and bi men (Unfortunately, Yahoo! requires that you be at least 18 years of age to join any of those groups).
Blessed Be,
Skeeter
