...and I sure was glad I was'nt driving. I'd forgotten how fearless Ny drivers are.

Once we got there though we were amazed:) I have never seen a bigger lava lamp, lol.

Our little drama students were full and beaming and on their way to see their first live broadway performance in NYC.

I'd forgotten how much fun it was to look up in cities.

http://www.hipgallery.com/photopost2/data/500/234whatwesaw.jpg

There the marquis for the play we saw...it was incredible! (eventhough it was'nt radio city music hall like i thought it was gonna be, I swear I don't know where I get my information sometimes, I was so bummed when I realised I was'nt going there, but we were not dissapointed, the play made us laugh and cry and what they do with sets is unbelievable now!!!)

After the show the girls said as soon as they can drive they are coming back to NYC's theater district and get jobs on Broadway:)

Just what we were hoping to hear!

Yeah, we got up at four am. Left from the School of the Arts in a convoy of five super~swheet coach busses, at six, got to the Mars 2112 dining experience around 11:30 chowed then made our way six blocks through the city (stopping in to the biggest Toy R'us I have ever seen, to let the kids gawk at the ferris wheel that went through all three floors and play on the escelators.) then it was on to the theater for the play at 1:30, met the busses outside the theater at five and were home by 11:45 pm.

It all happened so fast, but what an amazing experience!! I was still reeling from it when I went to bed, all the colors and sounds flashing...:)

I'm glad you enjoyed the pics, I wish you could have been there too! (we are planning another trip with my mom and sister now, it was just too much fun, and I'd like the chance to see central park, and the ice skating rink at rockefeller center:) theater is fun!)

Would'nt want to live there but, NYC is a trip to visit!

I like these kids!

...but I loove the slimey orange peaches.

Yeah, I can't wait to see what adventures they go on:) They are great kids with so much personality. Jess is the comic and Maddie is destined to be a star (she's in the middle) she's so enigmatic and full of this vibrant energy. Taylor on the right, is quiet and tender, she's the story teller. They are such good little diplomats.

I am so happy with her choice in friends. I Hope they have long wonderful lives together.

Gil it's because I am invisable now...chemical experiment gone awry and all that. I'd tell you more but then they would be after you too.

No one must know my secret...

I don't really want to go to new york. where I would really like to got is to Kim & Rich's for a bonfire, about eight beers and plenty of conch and of course everything else that goes along with that....! :)

..it's quite amazing how it works;). I love seeing you too Marie, we have one of those friendships where we just pick up where we left off last time and nothing really changes...and yet it does.

*looks around warily*

Someday Gil you will tell your boss...'look here focker, I'm going to be gone for a week or two see, and there's nothing you can do to stop me!'

I Believe Gil, I really do!

What are you gonna do in NYC seamonster?

My wife has some friends coming from Spain for a visit, so we are going to meet up with them and see some of my friends and my cousin.

Do you know what you are going to do in the city?

seamonster66
12-03-2004, 03:32 AM
mmm not really, one friend of mines band is playing in the lower east side Friday, so we'll probably check that out...then Saturday probably meet up with the spaniards...I think they are staying in mid town, so maybe go to central park etc.

Hopefully not to many tourist activities with the visitors, that could be bad...I hadn't thought of that...;)

HoneySuckleBlue
12-03-2004, 03:40 AM
Seeing the band sounds awesome, I've always wanted to go get into some night life there, but don't know anyone or much about the scene, so I feel real vunerable. City people scare me....

you know you're gonna end up going up the empire state building or something equally touristy with them, gotta get those photo ops you know?:p

seamonster66

quote: City people scare me....

Really?! I'm more afraid of backwoods people than city ones.

I've never had any problems in NY *knocks on wood*

I love going out in the lower east side so it should be fun...its not swank like some other areas of town.

Your sig pic is awesome, so crisp.

HoneySuckleBlue
12-03-2004, 04:15 AM
...and swank is over rated, it's fun to walk past, but it's not very engaging.

The lower east side sounds really interesting. It was so fun to see all the little shops and restaurants tucked into the tinest little spaces...and that was in the touristy part of town, I bet they are even more unique where you are going.

It probably is'nt as bad as i would think in the city, but there are just so many people and you usually don't see the ones coming that run off with your wallet or pull knives on you...(mebbe i've just seen too many movies:p )

In reality I was amazed at how everyone flowed and gave way...unless they were in a car.

Put people in a car in NYC and they change into raging maniacs.

I hope you guys have a wonderful visit, I think the weather is supposed to be clear for a while finaly.

:) I'm glad you like the picture, I feel the same way about it. It was so fresh and shiney there once the rain cleared out.
