ive noticed many people ask about morning glories. i personally find that some of the info on erowid is outdated especially the nonpolar polar extraction, which is unnecessary and reinforces its misuse that is bound to fail at delivering good trips.
i want to share that i have finally truly learned something about this misunderstood yet surprisingly powerful plant. and on that note i have also realized that i learned a bit about the behaviour of plant hallucinogens in general.
grind seeds, make tea in COLD pure water (no tap)... drink just the tea,, and youll be fine, lsa steeps into the water because of its high solubility to polar solvents, the puky stuff stays in the tea bag with the seed mush because it just doesnt dissolve in water when its cold, though it will if the water is at room temperature,, , the tea even taste different (nasty)and it makes you horribly sick. after steepin, youcan steep the bags in some fresh water, (30minutes each),, mix the two teas and drink.
some people still get mildy sick, but it always goes away quickly and this has been the only reliable method for making trips that are free of uncomfortable physical symptoms. the nonpolar polar extraction sucks ass IMO.
600 seeds is the full powerful dose when made this way with cold water. but even if you were to take that dose, you may not get hallucinatory activity, you may just be in a psychedelic drugged state because morning glory behaves like a plant hallucinogen. it doesnt give visions when there is a lack of ritual and the use is purely recreational. ayahuasca is like this. salvia is a like this with the exception of strong extracts. mushrooms in my experience is like this too, it delays the peak until im in a dark quiet setting where its just my mind and the plant .
morning glory can deliver visions that are on a similar level to ayahuasca.. however it usually never does . it took many years and many failed trips to learn this. but then one year six hours after drinking the tea and layed down in the dark and realized that began to finally peak. and this was the cream of psychedelic trips. seeing so many things and heard so much, this was like terencemckenna style, you know like having records of information from other dimensions play in your mind, records of visuals and auditories that were being fed by the lsa. you wouldnt believe the hallucinations and the whole time it was the same feeling as from mushrooms the feeling that there is something on the other side,, the "other" and its alive. it interacts with you.
