Nothing is keeping me alive
All the tubes receded
And the join the dots and lines
All my body's wonderdrugs
All my casual ties
Slowly back to nature now
Defaults to my faults
Slowly back to template now
Slowly back to normal now

Cauterised from distances that
Numb beyond belief
It cowers in the corner
And tremors when I speak
Excess marks the spot where we
Will disconnect the dots
Darlings of the skyline
We have gone so high and lost

...um, something else, I forgot what I was talking about halfway through. It was supposed to be about clearing toxins from your system and feeling better than you could've done without them as a result.

hi there,

and you have with all its insight ,
what you write what ever you feel
the thoughts you spoke of are you..
cleaning you your world,,this world
you live in

yes to be free of all we do to ourselves
will always be our aim...

be stronge remember you within
the words.....

i love the line
(slowly back to nature now
defaults are my faults....)

with in this system we crave a release
to be free of all what we take on or become
controlled by............. what ever the vice the path
we all find ourselves sooner or later...

love n peace from saff

nice account of the struggle in you like anyone
and the stuggle of human nature and nature
itself.....to change...to grow to live.

I liked the way this poem flowed, and I also dig your choice of words and your abstract ideas. Groovy, dude! :)

Never underestimate the value of your time in the swamp, friend. It hardens the Soul and Softens the Heart, and all for the good of the Art of Interpenetration through Dissolution and Coagulation. The Form must need Change for the Essence to Transcend, and yet remain the same.

Oh, it's not meant as a "poor me, I had a hangover this morning, boohoo" thing. It's just about variety as the spice of life. I think it's very worthwhile to experience as much as you can from life, so you have plenty of context by which to measure the things you choose to do. I'm not a great believer in drugs and narcosis as a means to creativity (look at Elastica), but they're a bloody good laugh nonetheless, and when you get lucid again, it's not as horrifying as people make it out to be.

It was meant to be a more jubilant piece, I guess that's why I wanted to add some more to the end, cuz re-reading it it sounds more frightened than it was meant to.
