where do these mushrooms grow in the wild, would i be likely to find any growing wild in australia.

Don't go picking those things in the wild unless you reeeeeeeeeealy know what you're doing. There a species that looks identical to it, save for the fact that it will kill you if you eat it. And I doubt that Australia would have a climate hospitable to this breed.... maybe in the north...

I looked into it and youre right, sorry bout that, I was thinking of a different mushroom in the Amanita family; the phalloides

shrooms grow in australia, though not as much as america and places in europe.

lol i had a feeling youd say you were from byron or something lol. anyway, if you couldnt find them in byron.. then.. well then the stereotype is a fake. or you just never looked properly

I know Browncaps also known as Bluecaps from Myrtleford, VIC, when i vistited my grandma, my cousin had some wildgrowing, he said, it's good stuff!
I think it could be a cubensis.

Agaricus has a symbiotic relationship with pine and elm trees. Pine plantations would be the best bet in Oz. Late picking was a few months ago, so next season is mid next year.

I got a couple from under a neighbours blue spruce a couple of months ago, but not enough of 'em.

U should find fly agags in oz - only a fool would pick the wrong thing & the wise man will know how 2 prep and trip the fuck out!
