Wicca is a beautiful, nature loving religion and lifestyle.
However, are there any other green witches out there?
I try not to just interpert nature alone, but personally, I find that in using nature as my focale point it helps clear my mind, cleanse my spirit and aid my ability to see.

could you define more what it means to be a 'gren witch' i'm presuming it means more than just being enviromentally aware.

I always thought that 'green witch' was a vague term (although I could be wrong)... Wicca is very much an earth loving religion, and an amazing connection to nature... doesn't that make all wiccans green witches?

Not always. It entails interpreting the tell stones, tarot, and other tools with a nature based assumption. It also includes making remedies and tonics that have little to do directly with nature, with a direct earth base. This is just a brief description. There are many other aspects, but call it a crash course. :)

I tried doing a search online about Green Witches (how geeky am I getting?) and I found a few sites, but the info I found really isn't much different than what regular wicca is... I still don't get what the difference is...

I've been practicing Wicca for about three years now, and I'm only just getting the hang of it. It's really a fun religion, because there's so much personal growth involved.

It is a fun religion... It's quite creative too, there's a lot of room for creation (indoor and outdoor altars, interesting crafts to do, etc.)
What I love about it is that it's given me a deeper connection with nature - just realizing how close our human energy is to life around us... plants, trees, animals - how equal we all are.

If i had to pick a category, i would consider myself a green witch, or a kitchen witch. Both terms make me think of a person who practices their craft in a very practical manner--working in every-day conditions, when it feels right, not just on special days or with certain tools.
To me, being a green witch is more than just seeing the abstract concept of spirit in the earth--it's literally talking to the nature spirits, the trees, the faeries, the elements, whatever; caring for a house plant because someone is really there to appreciate the attention. It's one thing to know the earth, and quite another to befriend it.
The kitchen witch part of me is the mother, the wife--literally cooking things up in my home, for my family. A sachet for the protection of my home, a dream pillow for my son so he can sleep at night. The kind of things people probably did for generations without realizing it was magick, because it was so natural to them.
Both of these paths, in my opinion, are much older than any religion, and values from both are often interchangable, as well as universal. But then, that's my opinion.

Kitchen Witchin' is so much fun... That's my 'new kick' right now... I've been spending a lot of time making magikal recipes and stuff...
