I dont know what everyone else will think about this photo of Syd Barrett (Pink Floyds founding member), but i just think it has so much emotion, and charicter, it really defines so much. to me it sums up anger and passion, just that swift belt of emotion that is transmitted generally in music, when your playing in a band or jamming, or just listening to music, and it just moves through you, just a sense of AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH

Its all in the eyes, intense expression.

that is a really fantastic picture... can kinda relate to it in a funny way.

It's a cool pic which really depicts the 'Madcap Syd' image well but could be interpreted in other ways, like as has already been ponted out the 'AAARRRGGHHH!!!!' factor which can represent so many emotions.

definately! it does emphisis the madcap syd beautifully...i'd love to see more images like that of him to be honest, or just more syd in general...i did a post about his art work some time ago, i might do one again...

he is amazing... does anyone have "the madcap laughs?" or if i've got the title wrong, the book, his biography? i'd love to read it. I am going to get "inside out" by Nick Mason, i bet that has some amazing Syd stories in it too.

ahh mad old Sid...you gotta love him...

I love the story of the time he turned up at a practise about 5 years after he left the group and played all night with them, but none of them had the heart to tell him his guitar had no strings.....

A great artist who took way way way too much acid ...

maybe i mean there are lots of conflicting stories about syds drug intake, i mean certain members of pink floyd claimed he only took acid a handful of times....

others report all the time

prehaps he was just a sensitive person, and the limelight cracked him
