Hey guys, I'm new to these forums, but have been reading 'em for a while. I have a problem, and I am hoping you guys could help me out. I have always liked girls, and I think they are hot (mostly, lol). But... one night I had a dream about having gay sex. I often fantasize about gay sex, and wonder about it. As I said, I have always thought girls were hot, but gay sex is slowly becoming more appealing to me. No offense to gays, I have nothing against them. I just really, really don't want to be gay. I think the dream might have had something to do with these new feelings. Can somebody please help me??? I am 12, and probably too young to be thinking about this at all, but I don't want this to have a bad effect on me when I'm older.

It is completely normal to have all kinds of sexual fantasies and dreams, especially at the age you are. I really wouldn't pay too much attention to it. Besides, I didn't want to be gay, or ride the "boo-foo-choo-choo" , but I am, and its ok...
What will be so awful if you are gay? (You probably aren't! Relatively few people are.) There are worse things to be...
If it makes you feel any better, in 3 different surveys I have read, between 40 and 70 percent of otherwise straight males admit to having some type of homosexual experience at least one time in their life. The figure is probably much higher, since many men would never admit to such a thing.

hey kid let me tell you something
it is natural to have weird thoughts sometimes
i know alot about thoughts and how they work
if you think about being gay alot, eventually you will be
so if you don't wunna be gay, then just don't think about it
it's as easy as that
well i had a weird dream yesterday , it involved me having to look after 10+ cats and i could not shut the back door so strays were coming in all the time. Then i forgot to feed them and they all started atacking me hahahah. I woke up in a sweat..i was being sufocated under a pile of cats.
what does that mean ?
*Thinks*
I don't wanna be so crazy .. i don't wanna be so crazy .. i don't wanna be so crazy
I don't wanna be so crazy .. i don't wanna be so crazy .. i don't wanna be so crazy
nope thinking a lot is not working :p

Work it out for yrself. If it helps:
I'm completely fagaleptic, and I very rarely dream specifically about guys, even less about gay sex. It's fairly common for people in their teens to have unusual sexual thoughts, probably isn't anything to worry about. More to the point, it's just a dream, it doesn't really indicate anything.
I'm a little baffled by the Asperger's thing though: can you dream of things you've never seen or heard of?

Like has been said at 12 you are going to have many feelings some of which are just your mind working out who you are. Experimenting & tossing out the stuff that doesn't work for you. I really wouldn't worry about the dreams. You are going to have a much better idea of this in a couple of years. Even if it turns out you are gay, it isn't all that bad. I know that feeling like you are gay is a scarry thing but aside from what the anti-gay people want everyone to believe it isn't the end of the world to actually be gay. It is possible that you are bi but that isn't so bad either. I am getting ahead of the game here though. What it really comes down to in my opinion is to accept yourself for who you are.

I consider myself straight but I went through a similar experience except I wasn't too worried about turning gay. I just didn't understand what it meant. Anyways it passed after a while.

why would you not want to just learn from this instead of kinda make yourself run from this. I mean if you internaly are gay its not liek you have to act on it now anyways so just notice it. Why are you so afraid of being gay?

applespark, he's afraid of being gay because of an inner morality thing
I don't think he has examined the issue that far, or has realized his "inner moral thing" (which means, things he has been taught)
if he were gay, i would stop understanding him
as my mind doesn't indulge thoughts of two guys getting it on (why would it)
...because being gay is only about "getting it on." I find it tragic that you can only understand your son in terms of sexuality.

if this were my son
i would sure hope he wasn't gay
i'd like him to one day get married and have a child
then he can realize the joy i found marrying my wife, his mother, and having him as a child
if he were gay, i would stop understanding him

What about if he was bi? I guess you would be happy for him but not understand him. I happen to have a wonderful Wife, two grown Sons, an equally wonderful nearly 6 year old Daughter, 2 Granddaughters with another Grandchild on the way, & although I am between boyfriends right now, have had a wonderful boyfriend or two. Don't worry, I don't expect you to understand, love in my family is obviously different than yours.
What the hell does your love for him or any kind of understanding for him have anything to do with his sexuality? Just because you have problems with thinking of his relationships in the bedroom shouldn't effect your love for him or her as long (& I really hope we are) talking hypothetically. If you use the test of your being repulsed by the thought of your offspring's sexual affairs that would also make most people not "understand" their parents, as so many have some sort of repulsion to that concept. Of course I wonder where they think they came from then. Immaculate Conception on a mass level is just too much for anyone to believe, it is even questioned for the one that it was written about. Now that I think about it why the hell are you even thinking about your offspring's sexual practices? That repulses me! It sounds incestual, concerning yourself about your kids having sex aside from trying to instill good values & healthy self awareness on them so they can make their own choices well for partners & teaching them to practice safer sex & like any parent, hoping that they don't start having sex until they are actually ready for it.
I don't think you want to understand or even attempt to from what you are saying anyone who doesn't fit into your little box of consciousness.
Are you one of those parents that would throw your teen child out of the house if sie were lgbt? I don't understand that kind of thinking.

yes it is a slang term. And the term means something totaly different then the term gay means homosexualy wise...A lot of people use that term " that's gay" Funny thing is rthat a large precentage of your peers will turn out to be gay in the future. years from now. And it won't matter a bit

Fortunately, that is one of the issues that GLSEN has been able to abate around here & elsewhere. Every year when I have attended the Day of Silence rally another student tells of the near elimination of this as a derogatory term in any sense including that in their school. Students, joining together, can make a difference. If you are tired of this in your school, you can bring forth the changes necessary to make school a place to learn not to fear derision.

Look kid dont get too dependant on what the rest of the world thinks as right and wrong. If you are gay dont be a afraid, thats stupid and it also makes you weak. Sexual orientation has nothing to do with who and what you are. Take me for example im bi currently surving 5 years in the United States Marine Corps, I just got back from a 8 month tour in Iraq, and yes i had to fight there. And if any of those scrawny conservative pansy bastards wanna try and question my honor i could snap their necks with barely any effort. So be who you wanna be and stop worrying about what other people are gonna think about it, be your own man. Works for me.
And i agree with you chicks are hot so that would make you bi if anything.

GLSEN website (http://www.glsen.org/)I use it around here only in an ironic sense. Sometimes if some goes on a heterosexist rant I'll post "fag" as a single word response especially if their arguement includes some variation of "You only want gay marriage because you're gay" or "You guys are sick" or some other ad hom.

I call things gay to show they suck. I dont know why, I don't mean to label gays as bad or anything I just say things that way. So sorry!
Dude, I think about stuff like that all the time. Sometimes I dream it and sometimes i dont but I'm really turned on by the thought of having sex with another chick most of the time I think it! Its quite scary too, cause I have a boyfriend and our sex life isnt great and I always get scared I'm gay. Dammit I did have words of advice but just realised im in nearly the same situation as you lol.. Well, for one, when I was 12 I always used to picture 'what if' situations in my head, and they got pretty sick, things I would NEVER do sexually, with people I would never do them with. Even nowadays, 5 years on, I wonder what would happen if, say, my boss came onto me or something. Thinking up random stuff is natural, if you want it to become a reality then that's fine too, just make sure you don't hurt anyone in the process (or yourself).
Anyway, unless you're 100% sure of your sexuality, which some gays and straights are (someone I know knew she was definitely bi since she was like 3), then don't try to work out what you like till you start to get out of your teens, its the best advice I've been given. If you try to label yourself as anything, all you're doing is mentally restricting your choices, and may regret it later. But also remember experimenting with ideas is natural too, and you're a long way from gay yet ;)

I am 12, and probably too young to be thinking about this at all, but I don't want this to have a bad effect on me when I'm older.
Don't worry about it; it's more likely that puberty is giving you lots of feelings that you haven't felt before. My best friend, for example, was always curious about his sexuality around that age; he'd constantly act sexually interested in me, and we did have an experience (experimentation with oral sex), but afterwards, he payed less and less attention to guys and focused more on girls. Personally, I'm bi, and I recognize him as a full heterosexual.
I guess what I'm trying to say is: don't worry about your sexual orientation now, you're too young to be able to pinpoint it as hormones tend to mess with your emotions. Worry about it later; even though you shouldn't worry about it at all as it's stupid to worry about not fitting into society's view of what is correct.

well thats fair enough. just go find a bloke that wants to do gay sex with you and tell us all about how you feel/felt.
Concept and actualy physicaly doing it are two diffrent things imho .. the concept of 3 eager woman all wanting to have wild sex with me seems quite pleasant , but i don't actualy think i would like it .. i am more a one person man..but hell the concept sounds great. do you know what i mean ?.

just understand what your dream was about... i dont think you should be saying you don't want to be gay. you are 12 years old (i know i know, im 15). understand why you are having those thoughts.. you can't run away from your mind. and if you think you are gay but dont want to e- in the end, who are you running away from? no one but yourself.
just reember that there is noting wrog with being who you are. why be someone else when you can be yourself?
