ok family members we have come to the point on our lil homestead/ habitat that we have decided that it is time to name the lil place and give it a presence on the great world wide web outside of the forums here,,,,

for those that dont know what we are doing,,,,, i shall explain it in a nut shell

basically tis the sort of place for road folks, hippies, rainbow, gypsy nomads, families, city folk who ever to come n hang n help us out by working a couple hours a day in exchange for food and a camp site or a stay in one of the buildings n such that we are working on one by one,(log cabin is project at this point in time,) ...

for folks who want to earn a few bucks for traveling n such there are always extra projects that can be done inexchange for $...

we have gardens and a greenhouse and critters and 15 acres of land that we are trying to work into a place for folks and us to drop out of society atleast for a little while and do it in the most hippy way that we can

we are hoping to make it all into something that is a learning experience for everyone involved and that will depend upon the level of involvement from all sorts of folks as well as us here,,,,, this is why at this point in time we have to come up with a name for the beginnin of our lil web domain ...

so now we come to you our brothers n sisters in hopes that you all could offer a name that you thought fitting for what we are trying to do here,,,, and

***** added bonus****

if we happen to choose a name from a suggestion made on here we will get the person a bus ticket for a round trip bus ticket to come and visit us a spell (* in the continental US. only*) ... if he/ she so chooses.... If not we will figger sumthin else out :D

so come on folks help us out, give us some ideas and lets name this hillbilly habitat...

I can't think of a name right now, but I'd just like to say that it's a great thing you are doing. Sounds like a place I need to go..dropping out of society for a little while sounds perfect. I'll have to think on the name awhile..:p Much love to you.

The tibetan name of Shangri-La, a secret Utopia

Oh, I'm not from continental USA, would it count, if I come over to NY or Atlanta on my own cost? ;)

Uncle John's Band
By: Jerry Garcia, Robert Hunter
1970

Well the first days are the hardest days
Don't you worry anymore
'Cause when life looks like easy street
There is danger at the door
Think this through with me
Let me know you're mine
Oh, oh, what I want to know is
Are you kind

It's a buck dancer's choice my friend
Better take my advice
You know all the rules by now
And the fire from the ice
Will you come with me
Won't you come with me
Oh, oh what I want to know
Will you come with me

Goddamn, well I declare
Have you seen the like
There is a hilt of cannon balls
Their motto is Don't Tread On Me

Come hear Uncle John's Band
Playing to the tide
Come on along or go alone
He's come to take his children home

It's the same story the crow told me
It's the only one he knows
Like the morning sun you come
And like the wind you go
Ain't no time to hate
Barely time to waste
Oh, oh what I want to know
Where does the time go

I live in a silver mine
And I call it Beggar's Tomb
I've got me a violin
And I beg you call the tune
Anybody's choice
I can hear your voice
Oh, oh all I want to know
How does the song go

Come hear Uncle John's Band
By the river side
Got some things to talk about
Here beside the rising tide

Come hear Uncle John's Band
Play into the tide
Come on along or go alone
He's come to take his children home
