Its chaotic, the red and the black mixed symbolise chaos,
The white patch on the right is representative of the illusions we place upon life
and the Black block, is tradition.....
however im intreged to see how other people interprete it
its about chaos, and the universe....nietzsches dionysian ideal....

How exactly can you say it is "about" anything? Abstract expressionism removes that direct link between representation and meaning, surely?
I really like what I've seen of your paintings.:)

The Black and the red are mixed in a chaotic way, in two layers, the black over the red its painted in an extreamly chaotic and rushed way, the red near the white is simply brushed over, it was painted pasionatly and quickly, with the black painted on top, the bottom left hand corner is darker than the other parts of the painting, the black block excluded. and towards the top it is mainly red, but a brighter red than anywhere else.
That is the chao's of the red and black area.
The white is the illusion, white, purity, as in a wedding dress, its the illusion of purity, the illusion of optimism.
The black piece is out of the way, almost misplaced in that position, which symbolises shape and form and tradition.
Abstract expressionism may as you say do that....
but this is about dionysian nature. all art conveys some intent and meaning
Was that last comment sarcasm?! no idea online...ha:P

*Goes into Communication studies esque analysation mode*
Ok there's no way I can describe this without sounding incredibly dirty minded so bear with me :p
The black block is kinda phallic http://www.hipforums.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif And red has connotations of lust and emotions and blood, etc etc. Blood = emotion = life.

 Either I have my screen turned up to eyeball bursting intensity or that is one incredible shade of red you've got there...
Have to say that I don't like looking for meaning in abstract work... either there is something that smacks me between the eyes and makes me think about something specific or I just like to soak in the pure visual image...
In this case, im really getting a weird effect from that colour...

Loook man, if your going to make a comment on it could you at least word it in a way thats actually of any interest otherwise i will delet you posts. I don't mind critizm, infact i'd like to incourage it. But please, can you just think about how your going to say it because you'll wind up having everything you write deleted. I don't want to do that, because your entitled to your opinion. So, how about you re-word it. I'll give you a little while and if you don't change it its getting removed, okay?
Don't say i didn't warn you.

Constructive critism is a different thing altogether than the drivel you are coming out with.
Spyder's art is very good in my opinion... If you don't like it, why not critisise it in a productive manner?
