Well....my beautiful baby girl was married Friday evening. I am worn completely out and drained of all emotion. It was a very beautiful ceremony and, yes, This old mother cried her eyes out. I hate to even think of what the pictures will look like of me, but still, it was the most wonderful day. Even the little flower girl, and the Maid Of Honor was crying! I will post some pics when they are ready. Ther was only about 60 or so people attending and we had enough food and champagne for 100 so everyone had lots to eat and drink,,,,,especially drink! I had hired a string quartet for the evening, and violins always make me cry anyway, but when they played Canon in D major, and the bride entered, well, I lost it and my dear hubby kept rubbing my back saying, " IT's Okay. It's Okay!" Then after the ceremony he ran to get me a double vodka.......I now know what all mothers feel when that dear creature you brought into this world is finally a woman about to embark on her own journey, making her a family and her own little nest with someone she loves with all her heart. He had better be real good to her. Peace always dear friends, ruby

Oh Ruby! I'm so happy for you. It must have been the most proud moment of your life seeing your little girl wed to her heart's fate.
I'm so glad that you had such a wonderful wedding see itself through. You seem higher now than I can remember you ever being. I'm holding my heart and crying a tear or two also.
I look forward to seeing some of those pictures from The big day.
Love You, Ruby...

I haven't daughters, but when my sons marry, I'm sure I'll need a box of tissues. I'm very happy for you, them, the whole reception, all of it.
Peace,
Your friend,

I hope your sons find partners who will amplify their lives, Dad.

I have missed you too!!!! It is surprising the amount of work a little wedding calls for, I went to bed at 7 and am still tired. My sweet dog, wonderful as he is, is glad mom can give him more attention now, and he was glad to see the last of our houseguests leave. Now he has me all to himself, the big baby. I am also glad its done and done. See you around more often!!!!!! ruby

Thanks for the great pictures. Everyone looks very dignified and happy. Congratulations to all and I'm glad your hard work produced such a beautiful event to remember.
By the way, can those musicians play Jethro Tull's "Aqualung"?
Very happy for you, Peace,

Oh Ruby!
These pics are just wonderful. Your daughter looks so calm and loving. Her new hubby loves her a lot judging by the way they gaze at one another.
I'm taking it that the Lovely woman standing with the flower girl is you...
All-in-all, quite a loving and beautiful wedding. Thank You so much for sharing these photos with us.
I have to go out to the store now, but I'll be back to write a new story later...
Thanks Again, Ruby...
