Good times
And sunny vibes,
Obligation compels me
To contribute a Sunbeam
To the monotonous oblivion
affectionately coined
'the general public.'

rare rainbow ripping through electric azure
i shimmer and glimmer slowly,
so all can catch a glimpse.

Some stare with curiosity,
Others talk amongst themselves.

As for me, I'll just hover overhead
Like a honeybee
The clouds my pillow
And the sky a blank canvas for my dreams.

Positive unique vibe. Forget homogenizing, you will never be both awake and general. Yes, both rare, colorful and energetically dynamic... dream on. Paint with bold bright strokes and fill the environment with your love and freedom. Forget what people say with voices that don't come from within. You have your center, not in defining yourself as different but in remembering what all live truly is... shimmering energy which loves and dreams. Turn up the volume!

I like the closing lines. Flow enriched with vibrant images. Just watch out for that old bugaboo, the cliche. You'll be all right!

Where are you from?? Native Texan here.

Well, I lived in Austin for 3 years then my Father graduated from UT and we moved to New Orleans, where I stayed for 12 years. I moved to NC to go to college and have been up here in the triad area of North Carolina for the last 10, or so, years.

Austin is a beautiful city. The best city in Texas, really. Have you ever been to Hippie Hollow on Lake Travis? :) I went twice this summer... it's worth the drive!

I've also visited New Orleans several times. It was lovely.
