Some people get good effects by doing very small amounts of the drug. But even attempting this is downright stupid, since all the plants greatly vary in potency, and it is impossible to tell if it will take 1 seed from the plant to overdose, or if it will take 30.

I saw a HUGE dat plant in the neighborhood behind my college last week. I would never even consider consuming it (unless I wanted to commit suicide), but that didn't stop me from going "holy fuck!" and scaring the girl I was riding with.

I have heard that putting some datura leaves under your pillow really gives you crazy lucid dreams. This is something i'm interested in mabey doing, i am definately fascinated about the plant itself. I also have heard that you get some subtle effects by smoking it, and its not very dangerous that way. I don't plan on smoking it any time soo though.

Perhaps the safest way to try Datura is by smoking it. Keep in mind that the alkaloids found in Datura will store up in your body for a while. Personally I noticed this by smoking one medium-sized leaf three days in a row. First day/first leaf with barely noticeable effects, a little stronger the second day, and with a definite rise in effect the third day. The leaves were from the same plant (D. Stramonium). It also boosts the effects of alcohol. This I found out after smoking a couple of leaves, then having a few bottles of beer, ending up in the same condition as I would have after 3-4X the amount of alcohol.
Be aware of the seductive qualities of Datura. I´ve heard about people finding themselves eating off the plant, when just intended to smell it. Once I smoked a little, had a few beers, then ending up smoking the whole damn plant, all of my ganja, ending up in total loss of memory when my gf woke me up the next day in the afternoon, no pants, and the main title of the movie Caligula running on my TV. God knows what I have been up to..and better keep it that way ;)

You know there is benedryl, i hear that it's effects are practically identical to datura. It is wayy safer in comparison because you can actually measure the dose you're taking.

deleriants suck, don't even bother with them.

benadryl is okay in low doses, under 150mg. any higher and it's just uncomfortable. datura isn't even something you should consider, it will steal your soul.
