What is the rainbow family and why are they involved with the CPS?

That blows. They should give up the road and lifestyle and then run away with them.

Is there a legit reason why the "rainbow family" and the child protective services should be at odds?
A response would help with my perspective of the situation in my opinion, of course I could be wrong. :)

my guess from the location is its this guy..
child protective services and hippies (http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=363359&f=64)
there were two or three other threads on this but they were deleted due to drama and all around bullshit..
as always far more to the story than meets the eye..

I'm looking more into what the "rainbow family" is, if it's just a loosely knitted ideology that is at ends with public education ect ect, or if it is more of a strange organization.
I use the word strange simply based on lack of input on the organization.
any Rainbow Family members who would like to help to clear this up for me?

any Rainbow Family members who would like to help to clear this up for me?I'm not really "Rainbow Family" but I'll see what I can do to clear this up for you. From what I understand the "Rainbow Family" is a large loose knit group of people that have a main gathering once a year and and have, as you say a "loosely knitted ideology". There are some who live the "Rainbow Life Style" which means that they live more like Gypsies, being on the road mostly and outside of what is considered "mainstream", which in this case may mean the children don't go to "School" or do not have "modern" conveniences like TV or indoor plumbing. Which as you might understand, an uptight CPS might frown upon.

Sorry to hear that.
These are their kids, they need to do whatever it takes to get them back.
Yes, try to live a normal life. Once they have the kids back, then its time to move on.

What are the charges they have been accused of as far as the child protective services go?
Negligence?
Anything?

it is not a organization so you will never get input on "the organization" because one doesnt exist..
there is a sticky at the top of the rainbow family page that has rescources that should pretty much answer any questions you have.. it was put there to avoid having to repetitively repeat ourselves to people like you..

People are always looking for an 'organization' to things, the point is that there is no organization, no cards to carry, no secret hand shakes..

I read the description, the largest organization that's not an organization ect, ect,
The only reason I'm bringing it up is because they seem to have many problems with child protective services, I thought I had remembered a few other posts with the same problem.
Oh well.

some one turned them in to CPS because of their choice of life style...festivals & gatherings, ect. CPS is trying to force them to stop all that and stay in one place.

Loli , Have you heard of the freeman society? From what I understand when our parents submit applications for our birth certificates we become
chattel property. This gives government jurisdiction over us. To take our kids and imprison us as flesh and blood human beingshe freeman movement is gaining in the u.s.
Might be worth looking into chaz

Which basically means they throw money at the problem and it goes away. Truth, justice, and the Amerikan Way at it's best people!! And since when does a gov't agency become the final arbiter of what consitutes an acceptable lifestyle?? :piggy:
