I judged somone's reputation by the number of their posts. obviouslt someone with tonnes of posts has bene on here a while and knows things(with a couple exceptions) like if i was to take advice from ellis, or a newbie with 3 posts, I'd go with ellis. no offence to the newb.

yeah because on overgrow anyone can get like 1000 post but since no one takes advantage of the karma system the karma helps a lot to. If your talking to someone with 1000 post and 1 karma box you know they arent as helpful as someone with 1000 post and 8 karma boxes.

right now you start with 10 points and i think when you get 100 points you get another box. If it was like it is on OverGrow then it should go like this.

1-100: 1 light
101-200: 2 lights
201-300: 3 lights
301-400: 4 lights
401-500: 5 lights
501-700: 6 lights
701-900: 7 lights
901-1100: 8 lights
1101-1300: 9 lights
1301-1500: 10 lights

1501-2000: short bar
2001-3000: medium bar
3001-4000: long bar
4001-5000: longer bar

Don't forget about the stoners who post fluffer posts like "What are you smoking right now" and the like, and then some people purposely start threads JUST to up the number of their posts. Yeck. i will contest that the only way you can really get to know if an individual is helpful is, well, if you get to know them. if you judge people by the number of "points"(in whatever form) that they accumulate, you are bound for disaster. beware to be aware.

if someone is helpful or smart about music, they might end up with a lot of points for that. but they might be a dumbass about fashion, and you wouldnt want to take their advice then, but if they had a lot of points from their music, you would know that they didnt really know anything about fashion, yk? i think it's a little silly, but i like it better than relying on post count. u still gotta use ur common sense

To me the whole reputation system will just break that up... Kinda like your just gonna make a glace at their rep and then decide their opinion aint worth shit... Real real BAD idea.
