Didn't know exactly where to stick this post but here it goes. I am trying Kratom for my first time tonight. I have opened the package it came in. On the ziplock bag it reads "Kratom Extract 15:1". Inside resides a tan to dark brown substance, as fine as sand. No smell in particular. I am going to mix it with some oj and ingest the 1.5 grams inside the package. I will log my first experience in this thread.

9:58pm The OJ was a really bad idea. That tasted horrible. Extremely bitter. Non the less, it's down the hatch, now I wait.

10:18pm I stood up outside after smoking a cig and felt like i was going to float off the ground for a second. I am having trouble concentrating. I feel very, very relaxed.

10:30pm My balance is askew, my skin tingles slightly... I feel.... right

10:40pm Just took a 500mg Vic. I am having severe difficulty concentrating.

11:08pm Found myself staring at the TV, but not watching it, with my jaw hung to my chest. I'm having difficulty typeing, losing a small amount of motor control, I assume this is the vicodin.

11:40pm 3 vics in. My skin feels amazing, scratching my arms and the such. Feels wonderful. I am used to the more visual drugs and weed. This isn't as intense as I expected. Feels very nice none the less.

it's a relative of the coffee tree, used in india. You mix it into a tea and drink it. I am feeling very strong effects right now.

I believe I have peaked. I enjoy this feeling, but I am going to be honest. I don't think kratom is worth it. I like this feeling, but I like a more intense high than this, and I have been doing vics on top of it, and I still don't feel like I would like to. I don't regret this experience, but don't think i will pursue it again. Maybe this would have gone better with alcohol as a catalyst?

completely intact. Just feel very relaxed, a real body high. not really my kind of high. I love experimenting though.

As a reletively experienced kratom user, I've got a few suggestions: making into a tea ends up just being gross. If you're using extracts, its easier to put it into a few capsules and swallow, and if you are using straight leaf, just mix with some pudding and choke it back.

Also, don't give up on the stuff just yet. I have found that pure leaf, specifically the Maeng Da variety leaf gives a longer, better high than the extracts, it's just the extracts are more convenient.

One other thing since I suspect you are new to pills/opiates, the Vics you have are not 500mg. 500 is the number for the acetaminophen (Tylenol) in the pill that the hydrocodone (the opiate) is mixed with. The second, much smaller number is the mgs of the good shit.

Well, kratom is no poppy that' for sure, and it doesn't seem to do much for people with tolerance other than alleviate WDs, but for someone with a low tolerance, kratom is definitely a decent high in it's own right, with it's own character.

It's also good for casual users since it seems more difficult to OD, not sure if there's even an LD50 on the actives, plus you're more likely to just puke it up if you take too much. Doesn't show up in piss either, if there's a concern there.

You're mileage may vary of course. Pods really are the ultimate high.

You are right, it was a very unique high. I did enjoy it, don't get me wrong... I just like a bit more intense high. It was my night off and I was down, 'na mean? lol I will try the poppies next. Won't be takin vics again, don't see how people get addicted, shit sucks. I will look into those other kratom varieties you speak of as well.

Yeah, kratom has to be one of the most foul tasting things I have ever tasted. I think its worth it though. The exracts are to much money for the high. But the whole leaf grounded is the bomb. Its not that expensive and give you something which I can get in my area. If I could get vics then I would most def get those over kratom.

What do you mean by more "intense"? You couldn't think clearly and had trouble with coordination. That seems intense to me. Do you mean like more fucked up? More visual? More euphoria? If you decide what kind of high you want, I might be able to point you in the right direction. Maybe now after you tried kratom you know? Amanita Muscaria can be pretty intense as for visuals and body high(thing...). Morning glory/ HBWR are pretty visual and fun too.

I've done kratom quite a few times. In my experience (and according to
most people I know who do kratom) the most profound experiences are with
straight leaf. The extracts and tinctures lack some of the necessary
alkaloids to get you all the way there.

Also, you can develop tolerance to kratom and the surest way to do that is
with the extracts. I highly recommend sticking to straight leaf.

Kratom is interesting - in lower doses it gives you energy and in higher
doses it is sedating (this also depends on the kind of kratom you get).

For me, the beginning of a kratom experience is an extreme feeling of
happiness and comfort and an ease of any anxieties I may have. Then after
a few hours, I get very relaxed and settle in for a really nice state where I
am not asleep but watching my dreams unfold. It puts me in that place
right before you fall asleep when the dreams are just starting - and keeps
me there for a good long while. Its pretty awesome.

The key is to get the freshest leaves you can, and then grind them up. I
find Bali and Maeng Da to be most pleasing.

The other thing that is VERY important with kratom is that you take it on an empty stomach - otherwise you won't feel the effects at all.

How do you even know it works if you took it with all the vics you took.
You should try it by itself, then let us know. otherwise you have no idea how it really effects you.

haha, yea dude I work nights and don't have anything to do during the day but dick around on my computer. I'm just now startin to get out and do things and meet people, new to this city. I'll make sure i'll try it an empty stomach next time, and I'll be looking out for that PM. As far as the Vics, go, the only reason I even took them was because the kratom really didn't hit me like I was expecting, I gave it ample time to kick in. So checklist... empty stomach, leaves not extract, probably going to do a little higher dose, no other drugs, better report... think i got it ;) It'll probably be next weekend.
