Have you ever ate a crumpet?

I had my first one today..it was not to bad, I mostly like that it rhymes with trumpet..

I ate a crumpet
which caused me to blow my trumpet
with glee
cause thats just me

i have not eaten a crumpet to my knowledge, but then i don't know what a crumpet is either.

I've had them a couple of times, they're nice with strawberry jam.

They are very similar to an english muffin, but the texture is a little different..
