Some use wax which you can't find in the grocery around here, others use egg whites which require an extremely fine and laboresome filtering. SWIM uses plain old LArd, use about 4 tbl spoons to a gallon, heat to boiling cool to room temp and filter, really takes out the nasty lipids in the tea.
