Namaste!
I have a question for all of you.
Which do u prefer?
The City Life,(including plastic suburbia) or
Really Rural Life- Nowheresville?
I have a similar thread posted in the environmental section. I would like to know all of your opinions regarding this issue.
Thank u all-

I don't know if I really love city live, but I like it more than a farm. Having said that, when I went to the U.K. last month, I spent quite a bit of time in the countryside, and I loved it.

I will probably eventually buy a home in the suburbs (renting now), but ultimately I would like to live in a semi-rural place. A suburb of the city, but one on the fringe where I can have a large parcel of land. I will then have privacy and my neighbours will be less likely to shit me.

I'm a total city kid - I just love watching all the busy people going about their busy business..

I've lived in small cities that had to much traffic, drugs, and crime. There was a used car lot or fast food place around every corner. If I was rich I would rather have a farm or little homestead out in the boonies....need to be rich so I wouldn't even have to drive to the city every week.

I lived in the country for most of my life, until a few years ago when I moved to Manhattan. It was truly an eye-opening experience for me because I got to see what its like to live in the city - especially NYC. It really is a different world. A world that I had enough of eventually, but I'm really grateful that I had the experience.
I'm down with the country

I wouldn't want to be right in the middle of everything, but not too far away either... Mostly just some place with privacy and be surrounded by nature, but still easily accesible to anything I might want to do.

If they would get rid of the pollution..and I could have a place with a huge garden right in the middle of the city it would rock.
Until then I'm a fringe kid. Boonies, but not a 2 days drive to the city.

The country! Right now I am in a big city. The traffic is horrific, and when i sleep with the window open I only hear the expressway, and hardly the crickets. I eventually want to be upnorth by higgins lake in michigan(like you all know where that is). I already seen my dream house there, with pictures of it with lots of deer around in the winter time.
