Last night's dinner:
Fresh catfish and bluegill from the pond,
Cattail shoots, also from the pond, smothered in garlic-butter sauce. Grew the garlic but where the heck is my cow???
Morel mushrooms from the woods.
And whole wheat pan bread. - Looking for a steady source of organic wheat in the Amish community of NY later this week...:cheers2:

It is too early here for all those foraged goodies. I'm anxiously awaiting the fiddleheads and morels. Today's dinner is venison stew with homegrown root veggies and homemade rolls. Pumpkin muffins for snacking and dessert. I posted a photo of those earlier ;).

the front lawn mostly :)

lots of greens and salads from the greenhouse and now outside... i generally mix salads about half and half of grown veg and foraged weeds n flowers... fiddleheads are really beginnin to fiddle...lots of brick oven baked home made sour dough breads... trying to empty out the freezer of last seasons frozen veggies so lotsa squash
