Heights have never really bothered me too much. I have gotten small cases of vertigo, but nothing serious. I haven never fallen or jumped more than 15 ft either.
Tell us a story of being scared to death of a high place.

or if your fearless and nothing scares you.

sometimes i'm terrified, other times it doesn't affect me.

i think it's basically that i don't mind heights, as long as i feel secure. so i'm fine on top of a cliff at the top of a mountain, because it's not going anywhere. i nearly shit myself last time i climbed up a fire tower though. didn't help that it was at the beginning of a thunderstorm either...

Yes, I am afraid of heights.

I try and try to conquer that fear, but I just freeze up.

Like yesterday for example. My youngest son threw his frisbee and it landed on the roof of our garage. Well, I went into the garage, dragged out a big ol' ladder, set it up and started to climb, thinking, okay, you can do this, you can climb on top of the roof, get the frisbee and you'll be fine. But once I got to the top of the ladder, I couldn't move another step to get onto that roof.

I have a crazy fear of heights, I get really bad vertigo. I even got vertigo when I was watching the latest X-men film in the cinema the other day and nearly fell off my seat.. Anyhow.. I always push myself to get over the fear but it never seems to go away. I've done a few bungee jumps (every time practically paralyzed with fear at first and then absolutely loving it) but so far, nothing's changed. I still get vertigo. Escalators in shopping centres are the worst, if I'm with someone I always lean against them for safety. :p I think I've done that to a couple of strangers too..
