Lets see..I guess the tallest for me would have to be the Empire State Building in NYC..I think it is right around 100 stories.
I have always wanted to go to the Sears Tower in Chicago cause I know that it is the tallest.
I have been up in the Hancock building in Boston many times..it is 60 stories..also the Stratosphere in Vegas..I dont remember how tall that it..
I used to go up in Carew tower in Downtown Cincinnati when i was a kid a lot..I think it is around 60 stories too..
whats your tallest?
I went to the uppermost area of the CN Tower
Its the little bulge above the big one ..they call it the skypod..its supposedly the worlds highest observation gallery....its an open deck too...surrounded by chain link fencing....sure was windy but Im glad I went on a clear day
Above the observation decks is the Skypod, the world’s highest observation gallery. Views from here are fantastic, but not that different than the decks below. The Skypod costs $7 CAN extra to see, so you decide if the extra 100m up is worth the cost.http://www.destination360.com/north-america/canada/cn-tower.php

Aside from the sears tower, and since the name of this forum is “the top of the mountain” the tallest structure I’ve ever been on was the old abandoned park ranger watch tower near the summit of mt. chocorua - so add 3,490 + 50 feet http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/images/icons/icon14.gif

The Chase Tower (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chase_Tower_%28Amarillo%29) in Amarillo. It's the tallest building in our region. :D I had dinner before prom at the ritzy elite club on the top floor (31st) my junior year. My veggie pasta and salad cost $36 and the bathrooms were insanely fancy.

I'm probably wrong and have been in something much taller, but this is what first comes to mind.

Sears tower. The view was good, but not as good as the view from the Hancock Building, which is closer to Lake Michigan.

a few of these, if that counts. otherwise, terminal tower in cleveland.
incidentally, if i were to go into the glass floor building mentioned earlier in this thread, i would need to be followed by a janitor to clean up all the feces that ran down my leg onto said glass.
