I would just like to say hey and thank you to all you far out, experienced hippies who started it all in the 60's! I feel as if i owe you big time, which i do because if it werent for you and the movement than many things would not be like they are today and my life would certainly be different because there wouldnt be all these groovy ideas and beliefs that i believe in and spread among people. Your efforts, ideas, movements etc have inspired me throughout my life and have a mind blowing impact on me! Ive got many things i could say but ill just end it there for now...

Peace, Love and Happiness!

it's so nice to be apprecieated .. thank you so much Spaced..I hoped we made a difference in someones life.. we took a lot of shit and still do for our beliefs..but if it makes a difference it's all worth it..at least it all wasnt for naught.. I don't belive we wasted our energy in that way..or took the hard end of the baton at the demenstrations and peace rallies for nothing.. I took a bullet in the foot and a broken kneecap from a billie club in the 9 yrs I was there in the haight.. I knew some that didn't make it at all.. I have battle scars but I'm alive and kickin'.. there must be some reason I was spared.. may be I'll find out before I die.. that would be cool.. then I could post it in here..

Thanks from me, also, Spaced!! It is good to know that so much changed for the better during the 60's...and it quite scary to me to think of how our world would be now if the 60's never happened.

Keep on keepin' on!

I dont think it started in the sixties. The way Hippies live and think has been around as long as men/womyn has. The era of mass communication just made it easier to congregate, which then caused the attitudes to spread. You now no longer only had the point of view you were raised with being the only one staring you in the face. Thank the media.

Yeah that's why you younger people need to keep up the work.
This planet can ONE DAY, be Heaven, Halvalah, whatever you believe in.

ya man, or Niger delta desert nomads

tons of wicked folks, I think hippies just sort of packaged all these ideas within the constrainsts of our culture and western society, very groovy shit
