I've spoken with Sam about this and she knows I have been worried but....We're not selling the house!!!

I had a long talk with Larry this weekend and we decided to stay put.
I was not looking forward to finish building this one then buying another woods and clearing and building all over again.

So now I am completly happy again.
~~sigh of relief~~~

Well....I had no idea all this was going on! I'ts really strange because a few months back me and the ole man were knocking around the idea of selling OUR place! Weird. Anyway we decided we were too damn tired to fix up another one like this and we are staying too!!! Talk about parallel lives....got me some goose bumps teepi. I always did feel a kind of connection to you. Peace, ruby

I was talking of myself and Larry sweetie.

Sam has recently aquired some property adjioning hers and has fixed it up and rented it.(I think)

Wow Ruby,I too sista, I look for your posts when I come on,I enjoy you so much.
I'm happy you're staying also, Larry's whole thing was he wanted to be free and clear of the rest of the land payment ...a whopping 167.00 per month.
So if anything happens to him I don't have to worry about it.
He's 59 on the 11th this month I'm 46...so he worries.
I told him, I can't lovingly finish building this house, fix it up just so...then sell it.
Then start all over again with a wooded place (cheaper to buy that way here) and clear it...I snuck in the fact that it tears me up that he doesn't have his recording studio finished yet, and that if we move it will be at least another 2-3 years before its all built and finished again....that got him thinking..hard.
Our house is constantly under construction but it is getting more and more comfortable.
Our new 16x26 room is slowly being built, Larry will be home for the winter lay off soon and is thinking about not going back till next June to give us good weather on the other side of the season to finish up.
That will be our new recording studio/family area. All entertainment stuff in there.
I told him we should build a little stage area in a corner...lol

After being a navy brat when i was very young to the foster homes,to the running away and traveling all over the country, to living with a lunatic and constantly moving, to coming up here...I NEED TO STOP!!! .....And have my place....and breathe easy.

Love,
teepi

I'm Sooooooooo glad for your continued peace of mind, Teepi Girl! When you mentioned the fact that you were both thinking of selling and moving and starting all over again... it kinda upset my own apple cart, and I began to think about selling our home.

That was when everything in the neighborhood was going to hell in a hand cart in one big hurry... I thought about everything that we've put into the property here, and everything we'd have to do to start all over over again, and it was exciting and depressing all at once. But then I came to my senses, and we're gonna play it by ear... there's a 63 acre farm down the road that was just sold at auction and bought by developers (twsp. code is 2 acre homesites - that's another 32 homes in an area that supplies a major reservoir), not to mention the increase in road traffic on a one lane back road. Guess it won't stay a one lane road when all those houses are built. This is the only way out too! I don't know how I'll handle that change when it gets here. Probably the same as always... get mightily pissed, let my gut chew on my insides for days, go through all sorts of possible outcomes and solutions... then roll over and go on with the business of living... a little wiser and maybe just a bit of a better neighbor.

That stage area with the recording studio sounds Great! The work will keep you warm for sure... and you'll get to enjoy your man's company until he drives you crazy.

I'm about there with Ken on vacation. For the first time in days he decided to spend some Alone Time out in the barn and has left me to occupy myself. I appreciate it, believe me I do.

Oh! I'm gonna separate some of those plants in a couple of weeks. Fall Is the best time for such diggings in the dirt... I'll send you a big box of rooted thingees...

And, yes, we've been here for 15 years come March 05. The cottage across the stream is rented and the folks are working out just fine.

I'll be back here sometime next week... when the Ole Man goes back to work and I have my time to myself again.

Glad you don't have to Lift and Shift...

Sam
