Oxys and Sleep?

ok i have heard of so many people having such a hard time sleeping on oxys... i do not understand. i find myself trying to stay awake all the time. i get so drowsy. oxycodone, i take about 30-40 mg. so is something wrong with me or what lol?

in low doses oxy has a stimulating effect
in high doses it has the normal opiate downer effect,

regardless of what dose i take, i have no problem getting to sleep.
if anything, it actually helps me get to sleep.

it never really has a "stimulating effect" in the technical sense...the drug will never be classified as a stimulant....always a downer because it slows down the respiratory system ALWAYS.... but even with that at times can definitely cause insomnia. it also can increase energy and productivity (temporarily of course), but thats just natural with something that makes you feel really good.

more times than not it'll make you nod....and I find the insomnia is due to being either just strung out on it late at night...or just the fact that it messes up your normal body functioning/chemistry. when you disrupt your normal pattern of behavior sh*t like that happens.. i'd be willing to bet alot of money that the insomnia happens wayyy less frequently with hardcore junkies then say once a month users.

Oxycodone gives me energy, and I always find it hard to sleep. Maybe it's because I never can nod on Oxycodone because of my tolerance...but I don't ever remember being sleepy on it.

I didn't even remember what nodding was until IV dilly.

Same here, I take oxy and I'm up all night.
But its the same with my Norcos and Morphine to.. I can be up all night and take 60mgs of Morphine and 40mgs of my Norco in the morning with a cup of java, and I'm ready to go to work all day. Works better than Meth.LOL:D

yea, probably posting this again, but i've nodded off on higher doses for some time, which i considered to be opiated sleep. with a few beers its even easier and nicer, but careful mixing downers.

I dont like to sleep on opiates because I like staying up to enjoy the high. When it is time to sleep, I have no problems. It is however easier for me to wake up knowing I have more opiates

I'm just gonna post here, because I haven't read the other post about his topic yet anyway. But sometimes not always, I cannot sleep on opiates either, and yes I like to stay awake and enjoy the high, but sometimes after the high has worn off and I want to go to sleep I can't. I mean like last nite, I did that last 4 bag shot at like 1 am. Now I stayed in and out(80%) in a nod for the next 4 hours. By 6- 7am I wanted to get some sleep. I could not fall asleep. And yes, like others, it sometimes gives me energy. For instance I couldn't sleep 2 nites ago either and I had used Xanax and h that day. I found myslef cleaning up my whole spot and doing a few loads of laundry. It is like the H has a downer and upper effect on me but the upper effect is a much different up that a real stim like coke, or rit, or add, etc.

Sizzles make me itchy and restless. If I'm laying down roll around until I get up and walk around. Never felt stimulated though, but also never very tired.

Opana is oxymorphone HCL. Oxycodone is broken down into predominantly nor-oxycodone and oxymorphone. I tested positive for oxymorphone when I took a test after taking oxycodone. I have never tried Opana, but I guess in a way I have done oxymorphone. Not sure what amount of oxymorphone results from taking oxycodone, but it's enough to fail a piss test.

I know what Opana is and since you just started coming around I'll tell you why I wrote still waiting to come across it.... I've been doing opiates for over 10 years now, the ususal story.. lighter stuff, Vics, percs, leads to heavier stuff, dilaudid(which is hydromorphone) and oxycontin, and unforntunatly to Heroin. I am from a big city area and I know many many places to get opiates do to my 10 years of doing just that around here. But for some reason, Noone has even mentioned to me that they have these Opana's or that they are around or anything or the sort. And I would love to try them!!! So, thats what I meant.

dude opana is the balls. really strong. the difference in the high between oxy and opana is not that big. same kindof feeling, just opana is way more potent and also depresses your respitory system alot more

theyre very similar in terms of the feeling it gives you, they are just way harder to find because they arent prescribed as much as other opiates

Opana sucks orally. OpanaER sucks no matter what way you cut it. OpanaIR is the only thing worthwhile.

Oral Opana is worthless. Snorting is a little bit better. IV is obviously the best.

Take Opana after eating a meal full of fat for maximum potency.

1mg of IV Opana = 10mg Oral Oxycodone I believe, so shooting 1 10mg is equal to eating 100mg of Oxycodone.

im pretty sure what i got was opana ER. i always snorted it and it worked like a charm. seriously i would say that opana is 7-10X stronger than oxy nasal mg for mg.

tho i dont think you could shoot the pills i had, i got a couple drops of water on one of my lines once and it turned to paste, not something you would want to put in your veins

It's really hard to even snort them, because of the system they use for the time release. It's even stronger and more of a bitch then the generic OC's use.

I don't think 10mg of Opana is equal to 100mg of Oxycodone when snorted. When IV'ed, yes, but not when snorted. The BA when snorted is still pretty damn low with Opana.

idk man im just speaking from experience. when i would snort 5mg opana it would put me on my ass. of course after a couple weeks my tolerance went up so i would have to snort 8-9mg to get the same effect. i would say that 5mg opana nasal = 40-50mg oxy nasal or 30-35mg oxy oral.

can you elaborate on why its hard to snort them? i never really had any problems myself.

They gel up, just like the Teva OC's. Except worse.

Also, Opana will raise your tolerance to EVERYTHING...it sucks. I have a high tolerance as we all know, and I do remember snorting 20-30mg of the IR's back in the day when my tolerance was only like 60mg of Oxycodone, and being rocked. Recently I tried 70mg snorted, and didn't even catch a slight buzz. My Oxycodone tolerance is only around 300-400mg....I don't think it's 10x the strength, or else it would have felt like double my normal dose of Oxycodone. I think it may be around 2-3x stronger, imo.

but yea, it raises your tolerance like a motherfucker.

and its not even that good... when compared to diesel at least.

yeah i guess i didnt factor in that i started with the opana when i had 0 tolerance and moved on to oxy later on
