So this is like the 10th time i've said to myself... "I'm gonna quit". I jsut can't make up my mind. Currently I am using. Im not a heavy using maybe 10-30mg a day...Oxycodone btw. And im pissed cz im out and my dealers phone is disconnected.

When i was using for 4 -5 months i was taking about 40 mg a day. So i know Im not as bad off as some people and withdraw is nothing but headaches and cranky mood for a week but ususally I can get some subs and that makes it easy. The longest i have been sober is about 2-3 months and it kinda sucks.

So what do you all think....is it better to stop while i can and put this chapter of my life behind me or continue using an potentially become highly addicted and live my life as an addict?? Decisions....

dude if yoour bitching that much and saying you need subs with that little oxy?
QUIT NOW, run and dont look back,
you can see that its not something you love,
and your part way there by asking if you should quit.
go smoke some grass, ride a bike, there is so much out there,
and frankly if you dont love it to death, why even risk continuing?

mad healing vibes to you my brother
and you got me in your corner cheering for ya :D

I would definitely just quit now as you are not at that high of a dose, and it is only going to increase and get worse from here on out.

Also, don't even bother with the suboxone as your dose is not very high and you can get by without it. If you really need too, take a few benzos or muscle relaxers to help ease the withdrawals but be careful with those drugs too. The use of suboxone also leads to another drug that you would become dependent on and have to detox from so you might as well just get it over with the first time with the detox from the opiates.

yea i have been using just over a year now. i started with tabs for the first few months then my DOC became roxi 30s. i do 45-120 mgs a day and even at that level withdrawl is a bitch. fucking roxis cost 20-30 bucks a piece where i live(north florida) so its a expensive habit so i usually do 3 days of oxy use, followed by 4 or 5 days of methadone maintenance which i buy off the streets for 8-9 bucks a piece and i can maintain of 20-30mgs a day.

dude you are not addicted. you just get cranky when you dont have them because you dont have them, not because the drug.

you obviously have a very addictive personality and i would highly recommend seeking help for your mind, not your 'drug problem'.

when you're shitting, shaking, sweating and freezing, while puking simultaneously is when you're really addicted. just stop and these symptoms won't ever occur, now if you don't, well then, don't be surprised when it does happen.

im not bitching about being cranky because I didnt have goods. I was wondering if people out there who use 30 - 100mg a day think its worth it..... the lifestyle, the money, etc.

I have been through percipitated withdraw from a bad reaction to naloxone. I was clean for 2 weeks. Took one pill and i had the flu time 10 in two hours. I was in the hospital all day. I shit my pants a good three times because my cramps were so bad i couldnt walk to the bathroom. The doc said he thought i was a hardcore H addict. So you cant say i dont know what bad withdraw is . After that experience I would never want to be a hardcore oxy addict but how many of you feel like you can control your habit?

It would seem that this is your biggest problem. If a person does drugs, it should be for recreation/mood enhancement. If your life "sucks" without drugs, then you're heading down the path of a real problem.

^^ im gonna have to agree with softball.
if your life sucks without drugs, that factor alone will be enough to feed your addiction.

well, i can kind of relate to you on certain aspects, first id like to say that if you really want to quit, you might as well before you just get totally junked out. because from what it sounds like your really not all that "hooked" yet. so quit while your ahead, id say for good too. just tell yourself never to pickup again, even if people ask if you want something, i know thats a hard thing to do, believe me. and theres no reason to knock the kid for it, its a legit problem hes got, no reason to make him feel like an asshole for posting something like this. but with that said, i wish you luck.

of course we all want something that makes us feel like we dont have a care in the world.

but trust me, you are not in full blow withdrawal dude. if your life sucks without drugs, then your life sucks. Period. Make it better sober. Your shit will still be there when you come down bro.

Sometimes you can't control events that happen in your life. Or the actions of the other people in your life

Believe me, I know first hand how great they are. Life enhancing. No one is trying to deny you that.

My point, and others' I'm sure, is that the fact that you feel that your life sucks without opiates is the trigger to lead you down the path from recreational user (rare) to addict spending every day looking for a fix (common).

If you really feel like you need drugs to deal with your day to day life then you should look into something less addictive and potentially dangerous, like MJ.

That's the point, I think. That weed is so harmless, and so much easier to control, that no weed user has to resort to extreme measures of any sort to get it.

Exactly, I only do opiates on occasion, usually once to twice a month. Smoking some weed with a few friends is a much more rewarding experience for me. Less money + no addiction + laughing at shit with friends > opiates at least for me.
