i'm so jealous!!!
i don't think we can grow that type of maple, down here... :(

Well, we collected sap twice a day, when it ran good-about 30 gal. for the day. (we tapped 30 trees) After first collection, about 1:00 in the afternoon we started boiling and added the second collection later. It would be all done by noon the next day... There were 4 of us working on it, sometimes more, so folks could go to sleep in shifts. We used RED maples, because that's mostly what grows here...

thats a lot better than our half a cup..lol
ah well we aint really got the weather here to get the sap runnin good and we only actually tapped two trees.. maybe next year we will get a quart..lol
