And how's about THIS?!?

I am sure this week that we have all heard of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown's visit to President Obama. Of course as I understand how things work, there is normally a gift exchange. Now keep in mind that Great Britain is absolutely our closest ally, at least they were up until this visit. British Prime Minister gave President Obama an ornamental desk-pen holder hewn from the timbers of one of the Royal Navy's anti-slaving ships of the 19th century, HMS Gannet. Even more appropriate, in 1909 the Gannet was renamed the HMS President. Prime Minister Brown additionally presented to President Obama a framed commission for HMS Resolute, the lost British ship retrieved from the Arctic and returned by America to London, and whose timbers were used for a thank-you gift from Queen Victoria to President Rutherford B. Hayes. The gift was the handsome desk that now sits in the Oval Office. Now to round things out, Gordon Brown gave President Obama a first edition of Sir Martin Gilbert's seven-volume biography of Winston Churchill. So what does our new President give as his gift to Prime Minister Brown? Well let me tell you he really went all out in the gift giving department. Yes sir he presented Prime Minister Brown a 25 DVD set of "Classic American Movies". What a joke. I guess he could have thrown in a couple of signed copies of "Dream Of My Father" and "Audacity Of Hope". Perhaps the Prime Minister needs a couple of door stops.
And this, right after sending Churchill's bust BACK to England?!?
