Interesting. I'll have to check 'em out when I have time. I'm usually not one to read hisorically based novels, but a few years ago I read "The Alienist" by Caleb Carr. It's set in NYC in the late 1800's and it's about the pursuit of a serial killer by an alienist (psychologist). It tied the fictional story in with the historical events and surroundings of the time. Once again, I normally don't read books of this nature, but this one snagged my interest from the beginning.

this series is based in both 1940s England and 1700s Scotland.....mainly it focuses on 1700s Scotland.....the main character lived in 1940s England but then travelled back into time, not by her choice....it was an accident....its interesting because she ends up meeting up with some of her 1940s husband's ancestors....

i read them scarlett. i am waiting to start the Fiery Cross(the 5th in the series)
she is a great writer, but you need a large gap in between books. shes a little too detailed sometimes. i loved the first one the best, the love story was so powerful. i will tell ya that i didnt like Drums of Autumn really. it just gets to be too much. but let me know what you think. Dragonfly in Amber was a good one though
