I've restarted the User Reputations again. It was shutdown awhile ago due to abuse of the system. I've reset the parameters now, so it should work better, and be harder to abuse.
Have fun! :)
UPDATE! No this isn't working right yet, so it will have to wait for the next upgrade before it can work. Sorry...

he doesn't have it set up yet. basically, when you read someone's post, you either give them a positive or a negative, depending on whether you like their post or not. last time it became a huge popularity contest and / or personal attack fest. sounds like skip has figured out how to get around some of the abuses that happened last time.

This is going to be a disaster. Isn't it silly for someone to give reputation based on whether or not they like an opinion? I could see if the person was rude or disruptive... but unless every reputation point given is monitored by mods, I don't see how it could not get abused.

i would prefer so. actually, i suppose i'm looking forward to watching people make enemies. it starts out good, then people start taking note of each other. it's very interesting. you learn a lot about people when they can say what they really think in a safe place.

rep system - ideally people get negatives for stupid and ignorant posts and positives for well thought out replies. So hopefully it can weed out some of the crap and off topic banter within meaningful topics.
