happy happy joy joy, spring is almost here !

Spring is probably my favorite season of the year. There is just something awesome about the rebirth and green coming out that happens with the changing of the seasons that makes me all warm n fuzzy inside . The yuck of winter subsides and life springs back into everything..

Of course no spring thread is complete without pictures... Heres whats been going on round here... The new lil guy was born three days ago. His name is chai and will make someone a luvly easter dinner but he sure is cute.. The ugly little shed we took down elsewhere and are setting it up here for something, it is a lil bit ugly and cockaded but hey it was free,,, (well actually we got paid to take it down. )

And to those in places where you are still buried under snow and ice ,,, please forgive me :D

I love Spring too. A rebirth! Baby animals, baby plants... I even feel younger. :D Here it's slowly starting to feel like Spring, but I haven't smelled that smell yet. You know what I'm talking about? Spring has a distinct smell and feel to it.

we tapped some maple trees (2) and boiled syrup , got a whole 1/2 cup:p... the new hens are now laying (roger and ruby,,, yes she was actually named roger,,, no gender issues ) and the rooster is just pretty. Sunsets here in late winter are always beautiful.

yes blue. Spring to me has the smell of the earth, the very essence of life itself. The first few times i smell it in the spring i just have to get down and touch it, feel it and soak it in. I dunno how to explain it other than that.

2 more kids were born yesterday afternoon. Aint downloaded the pics of them yet. We still have two more mamas yet to give birth should be any day though.

Spring, the time for 2nd chances and LIFE. I love spring time, for awhile here in ohio it was nice, weather was close to perfect then bam we got hit with snow and cold ass weather. I was kinda like WTF! I hate cold weather, just wait though, come summer time I'll be begging for the cool/cold weather again. :P

I know what you mean. Don't you get so much joy being out in nature all the time? That's where I feel most at home. Do you supply your own feed and grain and such, or do you still have to purchase that?

I LOVE spring. I was so excited when I went for my walk the other day and saw some buds on the trees, and even one of the houses I passed had some yellow daffodils starting to poke out. I'm telling you, it's felt like a never ending winter, I've had it. I've been wilting here, in desperate need of sunshine and warmth!

Just the thought of how beautiful it's going to look around here with all of the flowering trees, green grass, new life...*sighs* It's enough to make me positively giddy!

more spring perdiness:). Our last baby of the year was born. So we have 4 boys n a lil girl.. Good eats. The girls are beginning to be milked for cheese and soap.. The kids are chai, bach, beethoven , sebastion(the crab from lil mermaid) and lola.
