I have a few tricks I use when I get cornered by gossipers or people who are braggerts, especially the ones who get you on the phone.
But I think the most annoying thing to me is people who just don't get it....They are constantly hit upside the head with consequences to bad judgement and yet they continue....it to me, is a sad waste of valuable lesson learning time and a drag on society as a whole.
The prisons are full of lost souls and there are many on different levels running around just not getting it, blaming others for the misery in their own lives.

the most annoying thing to me is.. every time I drive anywhere every other person wants to pull out in front of me and go 10 miles an hour to turn at the next corner.. I'm going 55 or 65.. I have to slam on my breaks and swallow my tongue.. it happens from the time I hit town till the time I turn down my lil oiltop road and safely into my driveway..

The most annoying thing to me is when people stop in the middle of an isle or hallway just to bullshit around. GOD, that annoys me.

That too, specially in my building, and I have to walk my bike around them. Everyone has an apt
but most of the time is 'block the halways time'.

I don't like people who drive slow, especially if they are driving below the speed limit. I can't stand rude shop assistants, like when you have a complaint and your trying to be nice about it, they can't accept they have done wrong. Another irritating thing are cold-callers ringing up trying to sell you shit.

People who act like victims (not on this board but in my "real" life). You know, the old poor me, life's not fair attitude (no, life is not fair, deal with it). As I said, this one is not directed at anyone on this board. But I've been dealing with a person's victim mentality lately, and I'm very crabby with PMS too, so please forgive my ranting. Or don't forgive, I don't care. ;(

mine would have to be SM's and teepis, and what tricks do you use teepi?Well, it is lying but it does work and it will get you off the phone immediately...
1. say in a loud voice,..."I'll be right with you", like your talking to someone else in the room, right as the other person is blabbing, it sounds like some one is calling you and the person your on the phone with, will let you go immediatly.
2.Say "Damn I just spilled my drink all over me, gotta go before it stains"....
Or if your outside or someplace and you run into someone you want to get away from..."Man, I gotta piss, see ya later, sorry"....they'll let you go without another word.
These have got me out of sticky situations when I didn't want to hurt someone's feelings and it was hard to get away from them.
When I worked in the Pharmacy I had alot of older people that would just talk and talk on the phone and I hated to be brusk with them so I did this quite a bit...the #1 above.
Larry and I also have a thing worked out when a neighbor of ours stops by...he is usually very drunk and its usually on Friday when Larry has just gotten home...When the guy pulls up, Larry goes out and talks for 10 min. after that I go to the door and yell out that dinner is ready or he has a long distance call...works everytime.

Yeah I don't like lying..but I don't like the feeling I get when some one goes on and on and I start to fantasize about things I would like to stick in their mouth.
And I try not to alienate my neighbors....I'm alone here all week and need to get along with them.
And well, the work thing, can't be rude to the customers now...
