So we all know about the ice storm that hit kentucky, what isnt being reported on the news but is beginning to trickle out by word of mouth as people come back on line is this.

Fema,is nowhere to be found as far as rendering aid.

a person running a store said the national guard came in demanding enough chicken to feed 100 people.

another report said the national guard is taking over restaurants and making them feed the troops. Same with the hospitals.

take this how you wish, but keep it in the back of your mind when making your preparations,as well as HIDING your food stocks..

will post more as word filters out..

looks like we have so much to look forward to..

I guess hiding it IS important.

Time to re-think this

and does it surprise you FEMA didn't show up? Look at Katrina. But I thought for sure they would be here for this..... what the hell else are they for????

from what i gather,FEMA is there, they just are not supplying food to most of the state. in those areas where they are not handing out MRE's (everywhere but louisville) the national guard is essentially going business to business confiscating food to feed folks in the shelters..

just think if a nationwide incident takes place.its just a matter of time before they run out of businesses to pillage and begin going door to door confiscating food stocks..

this is VERY disturbing to me..

Like i said, people are just now getting back on line and messages are short as most have limited access to computers. as more informaion becomes available i will post it here..

Yes, this on a national scale would be worse than the original disaster. They could MAYBE get two weeks of food to people. maybe not even that much. I know a town like this one here, we have 1 store within 20 miles, and there are probably 6,000-8,000 people it serves,

its a small grocery store. It would be picked clean in hours and still everyone wouldn't get food.

I think I finally got my wife onboard with me after she has seen what is going on down there. She was pretty skeptical and pretty much pushed me aside all these years and just kept buying me tinfoil to make new hats.

But this coupled with all the other events spiraling out of control, has brought her to our side.

thats something else that was reported. it was cash only for several days. when walmart opened they limited purchases to 25 dollars and folks were fighting over the essential items. what was available was wiped off the shelves in hours even with the 25 dollar limit..

really is a window into what we have to look forward to..

bottom line is,dont count on FEMA or the fed to save you,in fact, count on them to possibly steal from you..

Even my dad has been stocking up on shit, and re-loading like crazy lately. He's always done this but never to the extent and with the urgency he's doing it now. And what's more, we never really talked about why, but the other day he was telling me about he HE was afraid stores were going to run out of food. These things coming from him makes it all that more real.

Of course, perhaps he's been posting over at TTOL or ATS or something. He does spend a good bit of time on the net since he retired. LOL

I just read that it could take up to 2 months to get 100% power back to them. Remember how pissed people were at FEMA after Katrina? The people in Kentucky might be a bit heavier armed, and combine that with everything else, could this be where the riots, and such begins?

Those people have gotta be wondering WTF? But on the MSM they are saying that the troops are only going door to door to check on them. There is not a mention of anything else. Of course not, because if people saw what was really going on down there..... well, who knows.

from what i gather most folks are doing fine.. it is the bible belt and churches tend to look out for their own..there is some rumblings over FEMA's non presence, but they all seem to be rationalizing it away as it not being a big displacement issue like katrina was.

i think what folks seem to be grumbling most about is the logistical clusterfuck going on with the feds..

i mean what kind of military calls up 8000 national guardsmen and doesnt have food for them to eat??something seriously wrong with that..

funding cuts? Even still, has Obama even made a statement about it yet?

I'd say he should be stepping in if he wants to help people so much.....

thats what I thought. That cocksucker was too busy suckin dick at his superbowl party he threw.

who'd of guessed his guests were all senators that voted against his stimulus bill.

it makes me sick that people are still worshiping this piece of shit. Let 'em learn the hard way I guess. Thats what it will take.

OK.well i caused a bit of a stink requesting more information about the military "confiscating" food..
i was told the army was not confiscating food, they were just making people feed them.??? WTF?? and the difference is???

then same person came back a bit later with this,..

Just talked to a lady who worked with my mother at the hospital..apparently the army DID confiscate food.... The hospital staff and the patients are getting a minimal diet whilst FEMA and the army are shipping the food off to the shelters.

people are getting extremely PISSED at the .gov.

sooooooooooooooooooo,,,there ya go.
once again,,take it for what its worth..

I'm in the capitol and havent seen one damn person from FEMA, Haven't caught any word what-so ever from them. The Guard is helping if you can call it that. There are still tree's blocking roads, ran over a few power lines last night. I know people that still dont have power and we got a good 6 inches dumped on us today. Luckily it was east KY mostly and not WKY which got slammed by the ice. On a darker note I fell and busted my ass on ice today. Shit hurts.

well, well, well, if you were lucky enough to have had FEMA actually give you food, you possibly were not so lucky..

the news keeps trickling in.. from another board,

Heard the Army went in to several stores such as the dollar store and commandeering everything.,,,once again, take these reports as you wish. i see no reason the people would lie though, look what they just went through, and are still recovering from...
