Is name brand roxicodone any better than generic?

I usually get the 30mg blue A/215 oxycodone or the white ethex brand oxycodone. Are the name brand xanodyne roxicodone tabs any better than their generic equivalent? The generic are $10.00 for 150 30's but the name brand are $35.00. Is their any big difference between the pills like their is with the name brand oxycontin and it's generic equivalent? thanks

I think that it is like any other pill. Some people say the brand name are better and that may be but it' still the same amount of the same drug. 5mg brand name perocet and a 512 are both 5mg oxcodone pills. The same goes for all the oxycontin's too, but they put that gel filler in them so we can't snort them. Wait for someone else like U4ia who knows alot about this kind of thing to reply.

from what ive heard from people on here is that brand names have less fillers and binders but still equally teh same amount of active ingrediant

for me it dosent matter ill go for the generos, hell i get oc 80s 10 bux cheaper if they are generic instead of a brand name

The only difference is in the fillers and binders..
But there are a few that I won't by in generic....
like the mallic. brand.. those suck especially the 5mg Oxycodones IR

The Ethex ones are pure crap. You can't even give those away around here, let alone try to sell them. They are significantly weaker. I am prescribed to Roxicodone, I take them every single day, and I could def. tell the difference.

The name-brand are decent, but they aren't any better then the M30's or the V's (Qualitest) IMO.

^As strange as it sounds this is true, like U4ia said they are significantly weaker. They're still marketed as equivalent IR, but at the same time as someone who has seen/used both I can say the Roxicodone is stronger, similar to the way OC is wayyy better and more effective than Purdue's (IMO).

Yeah, those are generic Roxicodone, 30mg, they are actually light blue and made by Mallinckrodt. The light green ones have an M and say 15, and they are the 15mg version of Roxicodone made by Mallinckrodt.

The white and yellow ones that say ETH on them are the shitty shitty Ethex ones, that nobody will buy. The pharmacies here won't even stock them anymore because everybody asks for "the blue ones."

The other Roxicodone brands are Qualitest, (They have a V on them, and they are darker blue) and the Xanodyne (These are the name brand, all others are the generics) and the Amide/Actavis.

10 mg oxy's are white
20 mg oxys are pink
30 mg oxys are brownish tan ( kind of like the old school m&m color light brown)
40 mg oxys are orange
60 mg oxy's are red
80 mg oxys are greenish

The brand names are always probably somewhat better because I think they have stricter standards. As far as generics IMO the ethex are horrible and the best is probably the amide. The only two I have got in the last 7 or 8 months are the Mallin and Qualitest versions. As far as the 15 and 30mg pill goes I think theyre both good, they are small, and crushed easily.

people say there is a difference between brand name and generic...but I can't see how it's possible. It is the exact same drug, what difference would a brand name have. I think its just placebo effect, if people think theres a difference then they will actually believe they experienced one.

That said, I think its still worth it to pay a bit more for brand name, not because the effects are any different, but just because you know theyre legit, and also because some generics oxy's don't crush up, they turn into gel. if blowin them is your thing, then some generics won't fly. however i dont believe thats the case with roxi's, only OC's.

but say for example you get brand name 80's for 50 bucks, if you can get generic for 40 or less I think, it'd be worth it. id say brand name 80's are worth like an extra 10 bucks, but no more than that. for roxi's, i wouldnt say brand name is worth anymore than generic. same shyt.
