Best Tie-Dye Shirts

I was wondering about what is the best dye to make a good tie-dye shirt. Should I make my own dye, or are there any store-bought brands you recommend?

I recommend Procion if you want vibrant dyes, but you won't find it in many stores. If you only want to do a few shirts (less than hundreds) you might want want to check out the kits offered by Dharma Trading.

Natural dyes are fun to play with too.
