Dihydro vs. codeine?

How does dihydrocodeine compare to regular codeine?

Which is closer to vicodin? How do the mgs compare?

Generally the scale of opiates goes like (and this is my opinion, but it's probably pretty right)

Codeine
Dihydrocodeine
Hydrocodone
Morphine
Oxycodone
Diacetylmorphine

Morphine and Oxy are probably interchangeable in this case. Depending on who you are.

Not sure on the dosing though. *goes to look*

Seems the doseage for DHC is like really varied. Start with 30mg. See how you feel in an hour. Redose as necessary.

I understand about 60mg codeine = about 10 mg hydrocodone? Maybe that's not even acurate.

Any idea how much dihydrocodeine might = 10mg hydrocodone?


(I usually weigh potency by comparing to 10mg hydrocodone simply because I know how a 10mg vicodin affects me. I have quite limited experience. :o)
