Hey everyone, this year will be my first Rainbow Family Gathering! I can't wait. But, I live up in Grand Junction, Colorado. And knowing that the Gathering will be in New Mexico, me and my two close friends who are going with me as well, are going to walk there. It will be about two weeks of walking. I cant wait!

Anyone want to join us?

Im mossyin there from panhandle ,So im dogin too im located in (royal palm) anyone from the key west area gonna a able to dogg with me i street perform so its a guarentee that there will be food and a lil money any takers its (15teen miles inland frow west palm beach)

My friends were very generous in the wintertime season and pooled there money and got me the nicest internal frame backpack I have ever seen. This is going to be the greatest journey of my life so far.

Two weeks of walking eh? I wonder if it would be possible to take a freight train part of the way to shave some time off. If I go I'll be departing from Denver. Where exactly in NM is it going to be?

Man. I wanted to bike there. But I'm up in Michigan. So that could be a bit of a trip. Maybe the Gathering after this one.

Haven't been doing this long, have you? Nor done your research? Well, your sillyness about 36CFR251-261 makes more sense now. Exact site location won't be decided till early-mid June.


(bio-degradeable pieces? I guess you mean pipes....What, we're all supposed to smoke out of potatoes now?)

well i'll be coming from Durango Co this will be my 12th or 13th gathering but i dont think i will be walking since i like to bring supplies with

I am in S. Missouri and I may be in a position to come by that time, but I've never been before and I really want someone who's done it a few time to invite me and take me with them and make sure I don't make any embarrasing mistakes. It's looking like I'll have the ability to contribute a lot, which pleases me, but I would also think that being uneducated would leave me open to exploitation.

Yall understand, why I say I want to be "invited"?

Walking would be really fun, i live about 1000 miles away tho, so I think im just gunna have to stick with driving this year. Hopefully in the future ill get to walk my way there.

This year will be my fist as well. I cant wait!! :D

I would really be interested in walking to the gathering... It would be my 1st gathering ever. I missed the one in Idaho that was RIGHT IN my hometown... I was just a kid that didn't think for himself back then though... If i did come to NM.. I would have my friend walk with me too....

Anyone else from Idaho interested in walking there? c'mon, it'll be fun!

I've never been able to go before - I don't know if I'll make it this year either because I want to take summer classes so I can get the hell out college asap, and also work lots so I can get out of debt. But walking would be a hell of a journey - perhaps I'll make the 2010 gathering.
