DXM (Done a bit of research)

I've done a bit of research on this stuff but its always good to discuss these kind of things with others of experience first before you go for a trip. I know what ingrediants you don't want the DXM mixed with, but my only question is, say I get Robitussin cough medicine, while having no other active ingrediants other than DXM, will it be safe to chug it and not risk death? I hear about these rare fatalities but I'm sure its because there were incorrect mixtures of ingrediants, if it's just the pure DXM couch syrup will it be safe? Obviously if you take way to much I understand, but I'm a lightweight (130lbs to be correct) and figured I'd take half a bottle then go from there. I'm not a little kid, I'm just natural born light weight, skinny and tall. Also I read how to extract the DXM to powder so eventually I'll do that and put it in pill capsules just for personal reasons. I've never tried this, obviously, so I just want to try the bottle right of the bat. I'm not doing this for "fun" or any crap like that, I'm just dillydallying around with it untill a buddy comes through and I get real stuff :D .

So in short, question is:

If it just has DXM as its main ingrediant, are you safe from fatality in just one bottle?


PS: Also any other pointers would be much appreciated, I'm here to learn.

O k, I am almost positively sure you can drink up to 16 oz of robo dxm only and be fine and not die. I have never done that and am not advocating you ever try that without proper research. But yea one 8 oz bottle is fine, I did that, but I was 220 or so at the time and I am 6'2" tall and I hit one high ass plateau, I doubt you will be able to do shit else my friend along the lines of moving if you drink that much. You can walk, but it will be hilarious as fuck to see. Also, be outside when it starts to hit, because you will most likely throw up your first time too, and I mean a lot, so keep water by to hinder the gag, you might think you are going to heave to death, I did. After that all I can say is have fun, journey well my warrior brother. Peace and love.

you won't die lol. but 8oz might be too much for you, i stick with 4oz and sometimes boost with like 2oz after a few hours.

Alright, thank you for the advice and knowledge. I didn't figure I would for all my research has told me I should be fine as long as I don't have the wrong mixture of ingrediants. Sadly, it's just me this weekened, no pals over to hang. Is it a bad idea to try my first trip alone?

i dont get headaches or stomach aches... maybe u got a weak stomach. and ive dosed numerous times over the years. i like laying down and just leaving my being and floating in space to trippy tunes. its a nice trip. and since i dose during the evening hours i usually go to sleep after the long hours, so i dont usually feel any after effects except the after glow which is nice.

Ok, I just chugged half a bottle. Maybe not completly half but I'm trying to take this on slow. So I take it, it was like 100mg. This was like 20-30 minutes ago i think? Seems like time is moving quick but probally cuz im excited for a feeling. I will say though, everytime I go onto a new page on these forums the background picture grabs my attention like its a huge deal. lol I'll tell more later, also question, since I only tried half a bottle tonight, could I try a whole bottle in like two days?

You aren't going to die off half a bottle of dxm, keep a cell phone next to you so you can cqall for help if need be, but think positive, how come you think something bad is going to happen, it is all a state of mind, bad exist for people who want to judge life, except what consequences may come or don't do it. And you won't be able to see so good tomorrow at most, do that shit today and let us know how it went. I am about to get another bottle of delsym because I doubt I will reach past plateau 1 with the extraction I did earlier. Just ingested the liquid and the time release is on that shit so I won't feel it until midnight maybe, but I am going for G2 and another bottle, so I will have some reporting to do as well. My roommate grips and sips on a regular basis and he's not dead. He sometimes can't even walk a few feet without falling, and that's after 12-16 oz.

I used to never get sick from taking it, and I would layer 3 throughout the day. Now I can't take it. I throw up every time, even if I take the gel tabs.

A lot of my roommates throw up. You still get the effects though they are slight.

I would suggest not eating after you take it. And also tussin naps are a favorite around here. It takes about 45 minutes for it to take effect, so a little cat nap is perfect.

I think everyone should grip and sip.

Well, it went pretty good guys. I only made it to the 1st plateu, MAYBE the second. First, my stomach start to twist and do all that junk stuff, although I never got sick, then gravity started to weigh me down, it was like I could FEEL the air. At one point I heard this realllllyyyyy wierd noise, I think that was in my had but it lasted for like 5 minutes. Later into it, I got on aim and tried talking to one of my buddies (It's now like 2 or 3) and it seemed pretty hard to hit the right keys, kinda like I was drunk, but it felt so much different. Lets....UPDATE as I was typing this I coughed up a HUGE sludge ball of mucos, that was wierd lol. Back to the story, lets just put it this way, words can describe the sensation I got.

Now for my question, I only had like half a bottle, I know I shouldn't but can I take a whole bottle of the robitussen next weekened? (I might try the pills instead though.)

PS: I love the taste of Robitussen, how wierd is that? Drinking that was just like drinking koolaid, and it wasn't any special flavor nor generic. :D

you SHOULD take an entire bottle. I don't think you reach even 1st plateau with only half a bottle.

You should smoke a bowl also, that helps with the tummy feelings.

I want to embrace it full before just taking a large dose, because often times this will scare people away from it from the bad experiences. With something like this, your mind has to be ready or you risk never being mentally ready for it.

hell no, my first time i thought I was gonna die on 4 oz, I couldnt even imagine 8 oz. For a beginner, 16 oz will either kill you or seriously damage your brain..

anything over 8oz i think is just too much heh. i got to try powder DXM last night and wow.. that shit is really powerful but it seemed alot different than tussin.

someguyinla: its dependent on the person taking the drug. i've never had a hangover from DXM i feel really energetic the next day and get alot of shit done. i do get hangovers from alcohol though. everyone is different. just because you had a bad time doesn't mean other people will too.

OP: half a 4oz or half an 8oz? try 6oz or so next time its quite different than 4.

The first time I took some robotussin, I took 4 oz. Sorry but 2 oz just sounds weak to me. That's crazy that you LIKE the taste cuz I fuckin hate it, but I still do it. I have a roommate that did 8 oz the first time, and he was freaked out, but he ended up being ok because we were around him and we told him it was cool. Just go into knowing your going to be okay, it's impossible to die, and you are going to have a lot of fuckin fun. That way you won't get scared.

A friend of mine told me he "accidentally" took a bottle of tussin, and he still had a lot of fun. I just think anyone could handle this.

BUT if you feel like you need to take it slow, that's still cool, dude. I would suggest though a bottle of syrup and a bottle of 20 gel caps.

I would say even that is an exaggeration. The only time I ever even GOT a hangover was when I did 900mg. Back when I did it semi-often (maybe 10 times total over the course of a year) my preferred dose was 650mg. Nice solid 4th plateau, with no morning after feelings.

I'm surprised by the number of people who stick with lower dosages. Are you guys not enjoying the high plateaus or are you having bad reactions to anything higher or maybe you're reaching 4th with a smaller dose due to personal sensitivity?

As I said before, I'm just starting out at low doses so I can make my body ready for a higher dose. Those who start out with high doses their first time ussually hate it because they just weren't ready for it.

I cannot tell what plateau I was on from that one bottle of 3 oz delsym but I know for sure it was a deep and mellow trip, not like any I have ever had off dmx. I have an even fonder view of this drug and if done right there should be no worries, no sickness and no after effect, though I was super tired the day after.. after I had went to work which was Sunday until Monday at 2 am. So maybe it was a delayed reaction. Either way doesn't matter, I am feeling fine now and still feeling quite bright from the experience.

My first time I had a bottle of 8 oz robo and I just gagged from the thought of it lol, but yea I was layed out, not scared, but very intense. And Saturday I was able to walk pretty well, I didn't want to go run off and try to get higher which some other things make me want to do, I was just chill, not even too much thinking really, and once it really kicked in, that is when silence became my friend.


EDIT: Also the next day I was able to do headstands like it was nothing, stayed there for minutes on end. Posture was fixed, balance was better, love the effects of dxm.

i like that last description in ur edit i0, cuz ive had the same kinda thing going on but it was on the comedown like 5am in the morning... haha. but yeah when i came down from my first high dose which was the 3rd plat. i left my comfy recliner and sat on the carpet with my back straight to the recliner. it was as if my posture was fixed, liked i didnt feel any muscle aches as i would if sober (not used to a normal posture need to work on the muscles of my back, im 6'2") anyway i was so tuned into meditation. it felt as if i could keep that posture for hours.

other things about this thread. i do have a pretty strong stomach. i rarely get any hangovers from drinking due to lack of drinking. its not me, i usually dont get wasted, i stay in the high buzz of drink. i dont get the point of just passing out from drinking to much and not remembering the night. just turns me off. but i did get drunk off some wine tonight and it was fun since its been almost a year since the last time i drank anything alc. as for the puking i do experience it sometimes during the comeup of the dxm but thats if im like really thinking to hard about it like "oh im gonna puke" idk why but if i block that part out i usually dont puke at all. its all in ur head. just dont think about it, or atleast try and think of something else. like my above post i usually meditate on the comeup, clear ur mind before the drift. :D try and sit still, if u gotta piss do it but come right back to just sitting still and waiting for it. :cheers2:

I earl'd hard after I toked some grapes, but then that shit binged me the fuck up, then I just toked and toked and toked and it was superb. I wouldn't have earl'd if it wasn't for the smoke. Plus I just drank the bottle instead of extracting which I won't do again with the Delsym, it is too gritty in my opinion. I am gonna try that pomegranate juice for a week before and then a g2 afterwards. Gonna catch me mind flying over your beds like hey check it ooouuuut!

Haha, very nice man! Yeah, when i smoke herb my sinuses act up, but after I drank a 4oz bottle and was half way into my trip I smoked some bud and didn't effect my sinuses at all! My friends said I was talking to people who weren't there and at one point I jumped up screaming "Come here kitty kitty kitty." Rofl, It was great.

If I'm correct about what you're saying, then you sir I consider dumb. DXM is a very intense drug, it just depends on how much you consume, and how tolerant you are to the drug. xD I dare you to drink 1 or 2 8oz bottles of Robotussin and still say it isn't an extreme drug.

agreed MrDot, an 8oz will blow you away. its not a trip in the conventional sense unless you do the higher doses you won't hallucinate much at all, but vision will still be distorted (dxm wacky cam).
