it might, if you use this place to externalise your feelings so that you can better understand where you stand

some things can be 'thought' away. more likely that its a matter of 'thinking about other things', without consciously 'not thinking about this thing' (because that implies you are thinking about it)

Possibly, if you can be the thinker in more than one point in time, which could be the case. You're just subject to linear comprehension.
