i have a a few sealed toothpaste like tubes with sealed syringes with no damage labeled MORPHINE HYDROCHLORIDE 1/2 gram made by some london pharmacutical company from 1940+. Will this still work? kept in a tin in dark at cool temp for many years. not for shooting for eating.

That's neat. I'd be tempted to keep it since it's so old and still sealed... unfortunately, I'd probably be more tempted to eat the morphine inside :D
Sorry I don't have an answer to your question, not quite sure how stable morphine hcl is...

it was found that in one brand of plastic syringes, morphine has a shelf-life of the order of 20 and 33 weeks, in the absence and presence of preservative and antioxidant, respectively. In the other brand of plastic syringe, the drug has a shelf-life of greater than 1 year.
keep it as a souvenir.. it wont do shit..
