New York Regional

is there any new york regional gatherings if so im not aware of it, and would anybody be willing to hep me focalize a gathering here. im not in contact with any family in new york so if you are in new york state plz send me a pm and we can talk about any regionals or the possibility of starting one here

There's a regional in the Finger Lakes NF every 5 or so years ("Ithaca Gathering"). That's the problem with New York. Only one teeny little NF. Go to the NERF gatherings.

NERF gatherings are awesome. they are usually in august, this past year ut was vermont. year b4 last was PA. the PA in 07 me and turnup went 2 with the baby it was way cool. we chose that instead of the arkansas national.

i might be wrong, but isnt the adirondacks like a huge national forest, i was of the assumption we had tons of national forest land here

ummm as far as I know trumansburg/fingerlakes is the only national forest...the adirondacks definitely should be though...

Yup. Adirondack State Park. And New York has some of the toughest state Mass Gathering laws in the country, for which you may thank that big ol' music & arts festie they had in Bethel back in '69, only everybody sez it was in some nearby town that begins with a "W", and it was in Max Yasgur's hay field, not at his farm. That's owned by the owner of the largest beer distributor in Sullivan County, or it was in '99, when "Woodstock" was held (hostage) at Griffis AFB.
