Dosed again and I seem to see how LSD can be whatever you want it to be, and this is magical to me. So it makes me curious what others think about it, so I have a few questions...

What's your favorite thing about the LSD experience?

What is the reason you'd try it again, or keep doing it?

What do you get out of it afterwards?

Peace

haha was actually thinking about opening a thread like this b/c of that survey thread "what kind of people take lsd?"

I could fill many pages with my favorite aspects of lsd, as I have already. But for brevity's sake I'll say that it's how I realize how much my unconscious self knows me. call it any label u want: god, Id, ouroboros, universe, nature, subconscious, inner child....i don't really know the terms. I just know that there is a consciousness that has payed more attention to my life than I ever thought was possible. It's like there's a familiar yet foreign entity "a couple steps back" from my conscious mind. It extinguishes feelings of being lonely or unimportant or any feeling that is rooted in separatism, because I know there is "something" that cares about the human endeavor, that somehow knows how to tie together all the good and bad that I've been and experienced.

The reason I'd keep doing it is because each trip delivers a new flavor and a new lesson. I will keep taking it because I will never be perfect, and will never stop wanting to know more about myself in order to improve myself.

What I get afterwards is control over what my mind will consist of, how my emotions will be structured. It's like you get into many habits before a trip and the acid unplugs the wiring that keeps us in line with those habits, and you can plug them back in anyway you want, like a telephone switchboard. It's hard to change our habits normally because we're within them, addicted to them even if we don't like them, and the acid washes away those tendencies, giving you a clean emotional slate. Of course that wiring will return to just the way it was if you let it, but if you practice your new ideals, they will become new habits that you can be proud of.

well its one of the few times me and my spirit can play and interact on that level. its a chance to remember the things that are burned into our dna that can be so easily forgotten with everyday life and its distractions. its a chance to fly on silver wings of luv

My favorite thing is the fact that I've never done it.
It looks scary.

My favourite aspect has to do with seeing/feeling things in their entirety, without the capacity or impulse to reduce it to a communicable abstraction

I guess I like how open and accepting it makes me. That and the boundless love I feel for all of creation.

on a low dose (minimal visuals-mainly enhanced vision, with a few "currents" around stuff) I was amazed by the intense power and majesty of music. ( i watched the pink floyd 5.1 PULSE concert in a beanbag)

also, the clear internal thought was incredible. however, keeping basic conversation, my mom asked if i had "smoked up" earlier. (she knows i like/grow weed) I guess she didnt see my pupils-whew...

my favorite thing about LSD is that its usually unique everytime you do it..
unlike shrooms, in which case i get alot of same kaleidoscope effects, trails and colors.. but you can get lost with good cid.. i mean outer body experience type lost lol

ive done lsd so many times, over 100 trips for sure.. i would do it again anyday because it is simply so mind expanding, i feel like i understand everything that i never did..

i play alot of guitar.. and its not so easy to play on most LSD.. alot of the time, im trying to catch the strings and bring them back down to the fret board..
but some milder acid, which gives you the great body high.. without some of the extreme hallucinations is when i write some of the best music i can play..

i remember one time, i felt like i was getting sucked through my friends amp.. it was so loud.. and sounded so good.. it was so perfect.. but i was laying on the floor next to his amp, and felt like i was gettin blown through the amp as colors.. well in my head.. hmm i miss good acid :D

the best thing about LSD to me is that it takes me places far from my every day mind, to a different plane also i experience greater creativity and grasps of consepts and more imaginative ideas when tripping. helps the creative energy flow, my best art is always while high, concentration can improve for certain things 10 fold.

I love remote viewing, the kundalini, the chain reaction, the futuristic sheering affect to noises, the recalibration, the soulular lubrication, seeing and conversing with spirits, the magic, the tragedy, the simple little alkaloid....the potential...the lessons...

I love being able to absorb shakti from the universe so much better on LSD.

I can literally dance non stop all night long...
all the water I drink just gets sweated out.

incredible.

how do you mean? is it whilst tripping and being immersed in nonconceptual entirety you don't have the impulse to reduce, or upon descent to ego reality that you refrain from abstractions? because to do so while tripping tends to inhibit the feeling of entirety, IME. returning to normality I don't see how it's a disadvantage to conceptualize as long as you don't cling to it or insist upon it and remain open to future dissolution...

I love how it allows us to be so excited and interested about the most otherwise boring things. I also love how everything becomes so funny. The buzzing sounds, energy, and burst of creative activity are great too. Spiritual awareness and intuition being forced on us, and greater circulation are surely my favorites.
The only things I dont like about LSD, is the initial shift in consciousness during the comeup, I always get uncomfortable and it is difficult to communicate with others on a strong dose. I dont like when you take a very high dose and completley lose touch with reality, one can never be too careful about this because in that state it is very easy to lose control with your actions. Other than that, it's all good!
God bless

lsd's first draw of attention was its intense altercation of consciousness. the world through the looking glass. astounding visual and audio affects, all to the crystal clear symphony in ones mind. then later the true nature of lsd was found, lsd showed me the bigger picture, it had a pure sense of love to it, and it allowed inner peace inside.

When I take LSD and it's a good experience, I get a glimpse of who I really am and how perfect and beautiful others are.

On a bad experience I understand a little better the nature of the beast within, the source of all the conflict and pain in my life.

I love the feeling of my soul unfolding, my senses awakening to a newly colored dawn, always something new to be perceived in what once looked mundane. Doors open that I didn't know were there.

I never realized how constricted and tight most of us are inside until I began to free myself.

well, once the LSD has worn off, it would be silly not to try and integrate it into the concept world which you return to.

but at the same time, almost every such attempt gets slightly revoked the next time I take psychedelics so...

best to try to develop one's sense of being, of existing in a point of consciousness. and leave all the conceptualising to society, which you can return to after some hours of tripping.

What's your favorite thing about the LSD experience? It's hard to tell but probably Lizard Skin, Tracers, or the fact that I'm able to take my thoughts and lay them out before myself and discuss each one in it's entirety.

What is the reason you'd try it again, or keep doing it? I believe in a unity between the subconscious mind and the conscious mind, and I think the best way to become aware of that unity is by psychedelics and meditation.

What do you get out of it afterwards? The enlightenment you decide is right for you. No opinionate friends, no debaters, just you and your beliefs on the human condition.

I think my favorite thing is that when i trip with one particular friend, we will just start walking and investigating anything along the way that might interest us. there are so many places you see or things you decide to do which, without lucy, you may never have known existed or considered doing.
After about seven hours we make it back home smoke a joint and sleep.
you learn so much about yourself and the people your with.
Another favorite is jumping further down the rabbit hole. taking higher doses and seeing what thoughts it creates and how it affects me afterward.
The time i took 10 tabs completely changed my view on life and i havnt looked back since.

I like that I become so open to absorb everything around me, take in everything and draw my own conclusions - "like a giant eyeball, always absorbing" was what I said last time I tripped..
Also the feeling of "I never knew my mind could think like this"
There's just the total freedom from prior conditioning and you break down personal barriers.

i love the way that it essentially broadens our scale on the reception of conciousness. like imagine a radio. sober we only receive channels 91.1-92.1 but while tripping we receive 91.1-95.1 or even more.

the way that it just amplifies reality is incredible. all of my thoughts and everything in reality and in my life is amplified to a degree i would have never thought possible.

further, i love how my reasoning and thinking skills are amplified. on a good dose i can think much more clearly than if i was sober.

while im tripping i feel like im half way to being an "extra dimensional being". of course this could never be possible because im human, but i can get about as far as humans can go.

--

and after the experience i always look forward to the afterglow. i get an afterglow after pretty much every good trip that lasts for 2-4 weeks. it is probably the best feeling i have ever felt, not even toking up or any other drug that i have tried can give me such a great high as the afterglow.
