What the hell is it about bathrooms that make it seem like you are tripping 50X harder than when your in any other room?

Mmm the only time i have felt uncomfortable is in a bathroom.
I think coz its small and confined. The walls seem to get closer and closer.
When im tripping everything is telling me to be as free as possible. Bathrooms dont help this.

i think it has to do with the reflections, echo, sudden feeling of isolation, and the fact that tiles often push some design into your mind from all around.
bathroom can also include bowel movements, which really pump blood around your body

dude thats pretty much my safe zone on acid. The silence and isolation make for a great get a way if you need the time to get through any rocky parts of the trip un-noticed.

idk bout acid man, but on shrooms i had a bad trip and the bathroom tripped me the fuck out!! i seriously hallucinated so hard but not in a good wayy, next trip was decent though and i was in the bathroom for like 1 hour at the peak, it was awesome so idk how i feel about bathrooms, i guess it just depends on ur mood, SHOWERS ARE NICE WHILE TIRPPIN.

The first time I did 'cid, I had two hits and no real visuals. Then, I went into the bathroom and saw little multicolored bugs running all around the floors, leaf-like patterns slipping through cracks in the tiles, the lights outside the bathroom were off, and I could see darkness pulsating like a cloud under the doors. I felt as if I should have been scared but I wasn't. I merely sat on the toilet for a good long hour just watching the bugs running around the leaves and watching the darkness seep like paint upwards from the bottom of the doors. After pooping (which I hate doing on acid but always end up having to do at some point throughout a good long trip. It makes me feel dirty) I examined myself in the mirror to see that I had psychedelic colored ribbons on my skin over where my muscles were, this particular hallucination hasn't ever occured again, even on 5 hits of the same stuff... I really am not sure about bathrooms but I also know, that the first time I got high the bathroom had me weirded out too. Every time I went to pee, I felt like a giant in a dollhouse bathroom. Maybe its becasue bathrooms are such interesting places, we tend to do somewhat private things in there. Maybe since we're used to the privacy of a bathroom we get into our heads a bit more than when we're in other places. A lot of bad trips I've heard about also start with someone who isn't feeling well going into a bathroom and then the trip gets progressively worse. I think that bathrooms can be great places while tripping since they seem to intensify everything, but it can also be a double-edged sword. Bathrooms can also intensify bad vibrations and can make for a negative trip. Like I said, I felt like I should have been scared when I started seeing things in the bathroom, but instead I was more entertained, amused, and actually I found it almost beautiful.

Bathrooms seem to be my safe zone on any drug. I don't know why. The first time I entered a bathroom on L.S.D. was when I realized, "Whoa. My apartment is ALIVE."

dude a shower is so fucking amazing at the peak of an acid trip. my second trip was the best of my life...right as it was kicking in i burst into uncontrollable laughter for god knows how long and as i was on the floor laughing i saw a little white rabbit run across my kitchen floor really fast and then i jumped in the shower and it was spectacular. every time i closed my eyes i kept seeing this big cavern-like thing full of light and it kept changing colors. then i grew like 12 feet and everything started spinning around so i got out. when i opened the curtain and looked in the mirror it looked like my body was melting it was so cool..then as i was looking at my pupils they got bigger and bigger until my entire face consisted of 2 giant black balls for my eyes and my smile outstretched so wide it extended around my pupils. i threw some clothes on and ran outside into another dimension of time..."everything appeared as though it were newly created."


edit: looking in the mirror is one of my favorite things to do on psychedelics...with the exception of the bad times...like when i saw a huge hole blown threw my stomach and half of my head was missing as though i had been shot point-blank with a shotgun

i think a lot of deep thought and not much negativity happens in bathrooms. i know i hardly ever choose the bathroom as the place to go when i'm angry, when i want to confront someone, or when i'm being mundane and stupid. it's a good place to go to clear your head, to pay attention to yourself, to relax. it's a very honest place without much clutter. it's a kind of feng shui thing... the energy sticks.

haha...i like this topic...that is interesting, i too am tripped the fuck out by bathrooms....I've had good and bad experiences, so i'm not sure really how i feel. I was in Laos tripping (on shrooms) and i was in my bungalow in the middle of the night, having one of the most intense trips of my life...i could feel it spiraling into a bad trip and i rember after a time just finding myself in the bathroom, and i felt very safe. it was nice

yea dude that was the first batch of acid i ever purchased from, and it was the best as well. they were gel tabs. that particular trip that i mentioned was my second one and i had done 6 tabs.

i was lucky enough to make three purchases before the batch ran out and then i never got acid as good again. i've gotten good shit after that but it never came quite as close. plus, the effects have been alot different from batch to batch. i've come to the conclusion that those gel tabs were probably almost pure LSD and i consider myself extremely lucky to have gotten them. the last batch that i dosed from didn't feel quite pure. it felt like there was some LSD in it but other unknown stuff as well. but whatever it was made me literally go insane for about 4 hours, nearly get killed, and had the worst trip of my life. so that has kinda steered me away from acid now. however i have been considering maybe doing like one tab of some decent shit for a good time, but i don't see myself ever really doing alot again.





i take that back. next year when i go to schwagstock i might dose pretty good =] only because there will be so many people around for help if i need it and because it's in the middle of the woods with no civilization for miles. no speeding traffic. its hard to picture anything bad happening you know. plus, there were some factors that caused my bad trip last time, and they are pretty obvious to me now but weren't at the time.

well i've been babbling and this has turned into a really long post, so sorry about that.

the bathroom in my downstairs has wallpaper with like 700 owls its just eyes staring at you from everywhere....i like tripping in bathrooms just not that one haha

i always notice that i'm having a very visual trip in the bathroom. i think this is because its a very empty space with all the same colours so you dont have alot of visual input.
