Need Help!!!!

Im new to growing and me and my buddy germinated and planted a few seeds in the begining of the summer, they got mowed over....then we germinated a bunch more most had like 1 inch stems on them so we planted them about an inch under soil...3 came up and got stolen....i am curently germinating about 10-15 seeds and knowing its almost winter, i got a barn and figured i could plant in there, so how would this work? i want to use a 10 gallon reptile tank with 2 blacklight 25 watt bulbs with a reflecter, and when plants get up to the top raise the light. would this work? lol it may seem stupid but im new, if not then whats a simple method to grow during winter?- thank you soo much in advance!

I've yet to start growing myself, but I have read a ton, and you CANNOT grow with black lights... It doesn't produce light on the spectrum that you need. You can grow with flurocents i believe, but its very inefficent and gets very hot. The ideal thing you need is a high-pressure sodium lamp.... check that overgrow.com website for indoor growing, the responses are also very slow on this site, so i suggest going to the http://forum.grasscity.com/

It is probably going to cost you at least $1,000.00 to setup a decent grow. Your best bet is to spend about 15 or 20 on a good book- look to your left there should be a link to "indoor marijuana horticultur" this is a good choice for indoor setups. This way when you do spend money if you have read this book you will be more informed and make better purchases. Trust me it will save you a lot of time and money to get a good book and study it a bit.
