Well the biggest distraction from revising for me was the bloody forums! I could always ban you until your exams are over:p Should have banned myself last year! But I did revise. Had two exams in each subject. So I basically just took on to revising an entire exam topic each night for all the exams for two weeks. I wouldn't sleep till I'd covered the whole topic with a fresh set of notes. Usually stated up till 4 or 5 am with unlimited cups of coffee and cigaretted allowed. This worked brilliantly for passing my exams, but it did get me addicted to the cigs, and I still haven't quit....

My friend gave me the best motivation ever - sent me a link for the Oxford University website and then told me to get my arse off the computer and get to my desk to do some German revision. I love that guy.

Put the fear of god into yourself somehow. Imagine how it'd feel to open your results and see a row of big fat U's.

Get workin'!

Don't forget to relax too, though. Don't wanna be too exhausted to take the exams! :)

it's hard.. I always used to sit down and ask myself if this was really what I wanted to do.. and the bottom line is only u can answer it.

the problem is as a teenager sometimes your direction in life is unclear.. in which case I can only suggest that revising and getting good grades will keep more options open for u. ultimately though it boils down to a question of ambition and self-motivation.

i got told that if i didn't pass my gcse's with good grades i might as well start living on the streets now because my life will be over if i can't get into a college...and then a uni...and then get a good job and so on and so forth...

it didn't make me revise...but i did fluke good grades...and all the wankers who just farted about i school and did very badly on their exams aren't living on the streets...i kind of feel cheated...

but i can't take you seriously, so you don't get your point across. It takes so much longer to read and understand, stick to using real words!

40% of people failed Higher English (like A-level) last year becasue they wrote in text speak in their essays. They didn't do it on purpose, just out of habit because they wrote like that all the time 'to save time.'

unless you wanna fail, get learning to write properly. Jamie's right, no one is going to ake you sseriously if you talk in text speak.

make a bet that you will honour with your teacher

I have done this twice once for math o level when I had hardly been to this guys maths class and he said he wouldnt put me in for the exam. I said give me the text book for the course if I fail I will give you £100. the school wont know why you put me in for the exam and you cant lose one way you gain another pass mark the other £100 tax free .... I passed

Then later I did A level biology and bet a stuffed fox full size in a glass and wood case that I would pass ...i did

the important part is what you bet has got to mean something to you and you have to honour the debt so I would have given the teacher £100 or the stuffed fox .....thats the important part you have to know that if you fail you deliver the fox hand over the hundred

I know a girl who bet someone that she would pass a physics exam and if she wouldnt she would sleep with someone this seems a bit extream and not sure if she would but she also passed

think whether you think you can pass before placeing a bet on yourself and whether its important .....if it is and you think you can win Id place bet

I still have the stuffed fox and am still in contact with teacher placed bet with

Here at the JobCentre we have the corpse of an unemployable wretch hanging on the wall that people can come and look at, to spur them on in higher education. Its been here for three years now, stinks a bit sometimes but the cleaners just blast it with febreeze so its ok.

the corpse of an unemployable wretch I am not implying that he was unemployable because he was dead. We at JobCentre Plus understand if a person does not want to continue employment when they go to another plain of excistance, although we do offer very basic employment options for the deceased. Flexable wholesome jobs such as Tunnel Supports and Scarecrows are popular for putting the dead back to work.

to concentrate. dri i have a minimalistic sense of motivation and ambition. that sort of sucks a bit. i'm hungry. ummm, i had a point. oh yes. mind maps help a lot. lots of mind maps, and colour. and don't keep making excuses for doing something else, like watching 'This Morning' or random poop. i can't revise when any1 is in the house, my parents r behind my back all the time otherwise(literall) arg. hard ink water. sleep well.

Oh gods. Mind maps. My sociology teacher forces us to do those in class. I'm sorry, but I'm a good old fashioned linear learner, and no amount of colouring in, game playing or jumping around the classroom dressed as a chicken will help me to understand anything better!

If you need to colour in and draw pretty patterns to be able to do anything, study Art or Geography :p
