I was bon on 2 October, that makes me a libra, obviously.
My mum says I'm a typical libra. I've got the features and characteristics of the sign, pacific, liberal, romantic, indecisive (especially that!), diplomatic, a bit cynical, peace loving, lazy, attracted to nice things, etc etc...I think libra people are cool, i havent met any libra who I didnt get on with. we're generally very friendly and outgoing people...very hippish, hehe:)

go libras!

there are 2 Libras that i know and talk with on a regular basis but they're both kinda crazy in their own way. maybe i just attract wierd people or maybe Libras really are crazy. ^__^;

Well, my manager is a libra, not a bad guy, I know one libra who is lazy but very friendly and i know another libra who is hard working and also very friendly.

So i guess it depends on the libra and his/her situation i know some libras who like the best and as such they work hard to get the best, and others who have it given to them who are lazy.

Besides i read somewhere out of the other air signs, libras are apperently the smartest.

I'm a libra (11th October). I'm a fairly typical one too - got all the traits. My mum bought me this old school astrology cookbook from the 70s - cracked me up no end, the section on Libra anjd what we like to eat was SO me.
but yeah.
I like our sign.

i agree with ZePpeLinA - i get on with all the Libras that I have met, s'great.

hey woa, it would be so super cool if you made a thread with what your cookbook says about each sign and what they like to eat. it'd be really fun! ^_^

No Gemini's are the smartest by a long way, infact I'd say Gemini's are the smartest people in the Zodiac, followed by Virgo. I find Librans to be very gullable, my mum is one and many people at work I know are Librans and they are the easiest to pull jokes on :) I do like Libras alot though, my birth chart is full of Libra and I have it rising! I definatly have that famous Libra smile anyway it lets me get away with alot! hehe.

Yeah, the Librans I know are all too lazy to even try and do well in school. I know school isn't a good way to measure intelligence or anything, but still, they'd be smart to know colleges look at that stuff kind of thing you know? So I agree that Librans aren't the smartest. I dunno if Gemini is though. I know Virgo is, I know two Virgos who're like geniuses.

That's a huge call...I don't know if I agree with that...I know plenty of Libras who are academics, doing PhDs, Masters etc, getting straight As... granted, most of those are in humanities/arts/abstracty papers, (but still, who said maths was the only measure of intelligence? :) )
i guess i don't agree that laziness nessicarily means that Librans "aren't the smartest"...

I definatly have that famous Libra smile anyway it lets me get away with alot! hehe.ya but i thought that each element had its specialty, you know like air=smarts
Fire=Energy Water=Sentimental Earth=practical, common sense

I know some virgs that are smart others who aren't failours, but who fail to show some intellegence.

i don't think there smart i think its because of the fact that well give them a task an they will get the job done, goes for everything elese test, quizes, etc.

You know what i just thought, this is all based on sun sign isn't it, i think all have to look at an indviduals chart before i can figure out how smart they rally are.

but i heard that if there is at least some air sign in a persons chart whether or not its sun sign, rissing and etc its some sign of intellegence in them.

that plus no one will honestly admit that there inferior to another sign.

but ya some libras are guillable, i know another one who just got promoted to manager and he doesn't know what he's in for, i know what he's in for, but i don't think he knows what he's in for.

one of me good old libra friends from high school was actually thinking of going into a company called quixstar, i told him it seamed suspicious, but he didn't rally beleive me.

But its not to bad specially when jen has a shift, shes an aquarious so its intresting to have a "full deck" of air signs at any given time.

lots of talking, but i like aquarious because aquarians always cheer me up when i'm grumpy and libras feed the chatter.

haha, makes me think of the Libra i know at school. she talks 24/7, and if nobody's listening, she just talks to herself. it's amusing to say the least. XD

I noticed that aquarious people tend to get along with libras, alot better then geminis, do you get along with libras alot better then geminis ????

I don't mind aqaurians around as they do cheer me up when i'm feeling blue, but i noticed that aquarians tend to go on alot better with libras.

Honestly, I'm not sure, because I only have one Gemini friend and he's not around that often. There's a Gemini girl that I'm around with sometimes because she's good friends with my Leo friend (how ironic) but she ignores me. ^_^; So. I dunno. Sorry.

PS: I'm one of the quieter Aquarians thanks to a Pisces ascendent (you probably already knew that though 'cause I've mentioned it before).

Thethirdbenjamin

Your rising sign seems to wreak havoc on your mood, I know mine does. >_< Which is quite contradictory because I have Moon in Aquarius which makes me indifferent a lot of the time but sometimes something will happen and I get so upset I just break down and cry (makes me feel like a big baby). Yeah, that and I relate a lot to the whole feeling the mood thing. If I'm around someone who's depressed I usually get depressed with them, even though I'm trying to cheer them up. ^_^; It's a conspiracy.

Thethirdbenjamin
05-18-2004, 07:39 PM
My combo is Sun=Gemini Moon=Aries Rissing=Aquarious

I notice sometimes they all work with each other, other times they work aginst each other, i'm not the type to cry, i guess its because of aries in my chart.

But i wish i had an a libra moon instead, that way i whould be an complete air sign.

But i guess i'm a half air sign with gemini and aquarious.

oh! I'm sorry, is that hard to read? ^_^;; I always use small text but I didn't think others would have trouble reading it. Sorry guys. xD;

uh, oh and yeah. I would be mostly air sign because I have Aquarius in my Sun, Moon AND Mercury, but that Pisces Ascendent messed it all up. o_o it irritates me much.

I'm a Libra as well and I think I got many personality aspects of this sign. However I don't think you can actually put people in categories according to their star sign or pretent Geminis are the most intelligent and stuff like that.
This isn't reasonable.
One argument is that intelligence is partly hereditary and another argument is that even though the means of expression are different (different signs could be more communicative or less communicative - personality stuff), you cannot measure the intelligence of someone becase their astro chart says so. Besides astrology is a sort of science who studies aspects of personality and destiny and that's all folks.
Claiming intellectual differencies between signs is like saying blonds are more generous than brunettes.
Which is absurd.

I am also a libra (October 3rd). I know that I am for a fact, indecisive + harmonious. I'm the one in my group of friends that makes sure everyone is good, and behaving. If friends are fighting, I'm the one that is the referee. But I can admit to being lazy sometimes.

My bestfriend is also a libra, he (October 4th), and I (again, October 3rd) were born a day after eachother. He and I have a bond that will never be broken. This making Libra's quite loyal to their fellow man/woman. An example of two libra's conversation of indecisiveness:

Me: Hey, what do you wanna do?
Him: I dont know, what do you wanna do?
Me: Okay, lets go to the movies, let swatch *whatever movie*
Him: Okay, well, no, maybe we should watch *a different movie*....
.........

And the conversation goes on. So, needless to say, we spend more time thinking of what to do, instead of putting it to action. :/

The symbol of the libra is the scales. I for one am definitly happier when there is a balance in my life. They say that it is healthy for libras to have a symbol of all the four elements in their bedroom. The four elements (if you do not already know) are water, earth, fire, and air. In my room, I put a water fountain, plants, candles, and I hung wind chimes. This brings balance into my life and helps me remember to include nature in my thoughts everyday. It just makes me feel more healthy. Try it!

Libra is the seventh sign of the zodiac and its symbol is the Scales.

Positive Expression:

Individuals born under Libra sign are peace loving, relationship oriented and most of all sociable. Since Libra strives for balance and harmony, these people are skilled at weighing up conflicting issues and achieving compromise by persuasion. They appreciate beauty and arts and above all these natives are well known for their good- taste, elegance and charm. Libra is easy to get on with, pleasing and likable and always striving for equality.

Negative Expression:

Because Libra always tries to please everybody at any cost, these people find it difficult to say 'no'. This often results in unwanted obligation or making promises they can't keep. Another shortcoming of this sign is that they are obsessively concerned with what other people think about them and how they look. Appearances, pseudo-sophistication, superficial charm, and vanity are the games Libra loves to play.

Physical and Sexual Characteristics:

Libra is famous for its charming smile and well- proportioned body. They are considered to be the most attractive of all the signs of the zodiac, always graceful, well dressed and elegant. The influence of Venus gives these natives a strong sex appeal. Although they need to attract, they are not the most sexual sign. Often the 'wining and dining' or 'flattery and charm will get you everywhere' games, becomes the most enjoyable part of their romantic endavours.

Sun: Libra (sept. 27th)
Moon: Aries
Ascendant: Virgo
Very indecisive...I'm always, ALWAYS thinking, I'm orderly, very active but can be lazy when I feel stressed, I like to consider myself an intellectual but intellect is in the eye of the beholder, and yes I am gullible but in no way is gullibility related to a person's intellegence it's about a person's level of trust, I am a libra to a 'T' but each of my zodiacal components is instilled deep within my personality. <3.

My brother was soooooooo lazy, he never did his work,he surfed on the internet all day (then again, so do I. But he did that at WORK.). And he's always kinda confused...lol.

Now, matches with Libra: Aquarius, Gemini, other Libras, Aries, leo, Segitarius.Sometimes pisces.

best matches: gemini, aquarius, other libra, an pisces (romance).

Now, about being smart. You can't put them in a catogory for smarts, because alot is genetic, but if it were depending on signs, the air signs win.

AIR SIGNS:
Gemini: Generally the most intallectual.hard workers(while studying, but nowhere near Virgo. However gemini's try to get it in their long time memory, while Virgo just wants to get it over with), and work with the most LOGICAL WAYS.

Aquarius: Generally, due to their wide variety of intrests, have the highest general knowledge, unlike geminis who have alot of knowledge in one area.
They are generally on seconed place for intelligence. They ANALYZE the best, and do the most net thinking.

Libra:They THINK the most. In other words they often muse when they're alone and stuff, the other air signs don't muse THAT often (although aquarians think of the future the most). They prominently work with net AND logical thinking.

Some other intallectual signs are: Segittarius ( They make great teachers, and have a whole library on specific subjects),Scorpio (They watch alot of documentaries,I once knew a guy in school. And BOY awas he smart.), Virgo(study,STUDY,work WORK! The most hardworking of all signs,of corse it's just to get everything over with.Or to reach a goal), Pisces( They live in a fantasy
world, they are often artists, therefore are often equipted with photographic memory.), and Aries ( They often think of easy ways out, and best ways to cheat, which actually takes alot of effort.)

I'm a libra, but I don't put much thought into the meaning. It does fit me pretty damn well, though. I really like the way the word sounds, very pretty.
Just got the thought of maybe naming my daughter "Libra".
