I have a few very basic questions, I've read tons of grow guides, and I just want to clear a few things up, correct me if I'm wrong on any of this...

1. I have a bunch of seeds in a paper towel right now, and one of them is slightly cracked open with a little (tap?)root coming out, do I plant it yet or should I wait a little bit for the root to get larger? (Last time i tried i had to leave because of Hurricane Frances, and when I returned the root was the size of the ziploc bag)

2. Now, I'm going to plant this half-inch in the soil, What kind of soil should I use? I have Miracle grow with something like 20-6-12, will that be good? (I'm going to be growing this outdoors)

3. I do have a general grow light that i bought at walmart that suppsoveily worsk on any plant, and its only 20 watts, should I use that for now until the plant starts to get bigger, or is it insufficent/plant should go outside

4. I am going to be growing several plants outdoors in some woods in my area(I am near 100% sure nobody ever goes in there to begin with, let alone the part I'm growing it in) and I've heard you can bring about flowering (which I assume means smokable marijuana) early inside by changing the light hours, is that even possible outside? (Maybe put it under a tree so it gets sunlight from sunrise to about noon, and from noon to sunset it's in the shadow of the tree)

Thanks in advance

A:If i use a napkin at all, i'll plant the seed as soon as i can see it has cracked enough to know which direction the root will go- and plant it down.

B: I have had nothing but trouble with miracle grow soil, be sure not to overwater if you used it.But your best bet is to get some foxfarm ocean-forest at your nearest hydro supplier.

C: It is probly o.k. to use for the first couple of weeks. but the more light it gets the better it will grow. get a flourex at home depot they are 35 bucks or somethin. They work good for starting plants.

If you manage to get it to make it outside it will bud as soon as it is old enough. But it will not have time to finish before it frosts. You should just grow indoors now.

Thanks for the reply,

well... I can't really grow inside, so i'll just take my chances outside and see how it goes. I live in Central Florida so i can cross my fingers and hope we don't get a frost at all, or atleast not too early.

and If a frost does kill my plant, I'll have a little bit more experience when I grow again after winter.

I used to harvest my plants in nov. And id stick a 5gallon water bottle with the neck cut off, over it. If your plant stays small maybe you'll wanna try that.
Good luck
