Fuck, in reqiuem for a dream he was shooting and got infected (is yours infected?), and he went to the hopstal and they called the cops and he gets sent to jail without getting his arm treated and it gets so bad that they have to amputate his arm (im pretty sure they cant arrest him just for that), but you should go to the hospital but make sure you dont have any drugs on you or in your car incase they call the cops.

That movie is totally inaccurate, I doubt any user would keep shooting in such an infected area, theres more than one vein in your body.

IT'S probably INFECTED! or you busted up your vien... a BIG possibility. If your lucky, however probably not... if it also swelled up and turned red, you could have gone through and through the vein. By this, I mean it went in through the front, and poked through the back, this happens ALL the time in hospitals when rookies are doing IV's, it will take around 2 weeks to heal, but it will heal (but this is probably NOT what happened). SOOOO, most likely, and trust me dude it's infected/messed up, If this continues, you might loose the entire operational/functionability with your hand. Don't be stupid, suck it up and go get it check out, just be smart and say you accidently stabbed yourself or something. Listen to what everyone here is saying, don't let this continue and ruin your entire life... Get that hand looked at dude... Suck it up...

1) What the fuck are you doing shooting into your hands?, the veins in your hand are some of the smallest, most painful veins to inject into, and are the easiest to miss or blow. When I was using, my hands/fingers were a last resort for injecting. If you're not experienced (and from your post saying you missed 3 shots, I don't think you are), you need to be using your forearm, or the crook of your elbow if you're going to inject.
2) To me it's sounds like you've missed or pierced your vein, that's bad. Take all the advice on here and go and get it checked out asap, if you leave it, you will end up with abcesses and likely lose your hand.

Was it tar or powder? Tar tends to be more likely to cause abscesses and the like. Either way, pop into a clinic and be honest, it's not worth possibly losing a hand and in America, typically doctors aren't allowed to call the cops on you for things like this (I don't know where you live).

The doctors will want to help you and will know how. They won't be interested in getting you in trouble, and may even give you some methadone or something to make your life a bit easier for a day or so.

Likely if you're using your hands, you've blown all of the veins in your arms and legs and feet, right? Those hand veins sure look a lot bigger than they are. Be safe.

Did that once a long time ago. Whent through the vein and hit a nerv. Couldnt move or feel half my hand for a few months. Veins in you hands are awfully small and tend to roll around alot. Its a tough place to hit. You should be able to tell the dif. between nerv dmg. and infection. If you cant then see a doc.. If its just nerv, then it will suck for a while, but eventualy go away. Veins are easear to hit in the arm, so i sugest sticking with thoughs.

You should switch to a smaller guage and length needle for hitting those smaller veins in your hand and wrist
You will be OK in a few days or a week, tell people you punched a wall.

use a fresh point every time to avoid bruising/missing.

use a good filter

hospitals are a last resort.

A heroin Bubble, maybe that might just go down< i have missed in my arm before when i was first starting out years ago and yes this big red bubble went down the next day and got smaller and went away after a few days. But I have also had an expeience while I was on about 20mg of xanax and missed the vein that i always hit along the back of my forearm and got an absess. How long has it been, if it's been a few days and it's not getting better, go to the ER.

They gave you pain medication after going to the hospital for an infection from missing a shot of herion? Consider yourself lucky that they gave you something for the pain, most hospitals/doctors won't give junkies shit, especially if you came in there with a situation caused by injecting herion.

yea they only gave me perk 5's but the nurse was awesome n hott..n she was able to get me a perk 10 once..n sometimes the 5's every 2 hours instead of 4-6.. :) i was there for 4 days n had like maybe 3-5 perk 5's a day..it wasnt that great esp. since i got a bundle a day habbit..lol

Why the hell are you shooting in your hand anyways ? I mean if you are not some hard core 25 year IV drug user who is loosing all his veins why do that man ? shoot up in your upper arms or even chest area where the veins are a hell of alot bigger and flow better. Shit I have been Iving my drugs for going on 10 years now and I have not had one bad vein Yet they are all just fine. I have had to have a few track marks covered up with tats over the years but thats all,when it comes to my veins they are just all fine and good to go another round ? The 2 things of the top my head that happen to most people when shooting in there hands or feet even are you eather hit a nerve and if thats the case don't worry most of the time it will get better its sure it hurts like a bitch at first and feels really weard and your hand gets all swollen up but it goes away or second and its not so good you have a infection. There is even a name IV users give when that happens to a user its called Monkey Paws-LOL- So maybe you have a case of the Monkey Paws. What I don't get is you missing is what caused it becasue powder Dope should not give you a abscess I have missed my shot countless times and unless its tar dope you will not get a infection and thats still not that common with Tar ? So maybe your needle was dirty or you got dirt in the plunger or at the end of the tip anyways getting back to the topic If it is a infection AKA Abscess first thing make sure you wah it off rwal good soap and real warm water. Also make sure you put a wet hot facecloth on it for a few hours a day to help draw out the infection. most important If you have antibiotics make sure you start a cycle of them. If you don't have any Antibiotics and don't want to go to the doctors or ER room yet this is nasty but will work I have seen alot of Iv users do this and I did this the one time I has a huge abseess from a nasty spider bite, Pretty funny I never got one form shooting up but from a fucking spider bite Go figure. alright if you have a big as needle like a big one I can't think of the gauge number but a big needle one used for IV's and for taking blood take that needle and put that bitch right into the center of the abcess you can drain the nasty stagmented blood and puss like this, Keep draning every day or when ever the sack fills up and keep soaking it in hot water also . Thats exactly what a Doctor would do to it. But if its gets bad man you are going to have no choice but to go to the Er Room or to your Doctor tell him a spider bit you or you got stabbed buy a rusty nail or some shit. Good luck man The most important thing man buy far to get rid of it and it will make it the easiest is some Antibiotics.
